ED, Bengaluru has conducted search operation on 22-08-2025 and 23.08.2025 at 31 locations across India including Gangtok, Chitradurga District, Bangalore City, Hubli, Jodhpur, Mumbai and Goa (including 5 casinos viz. Puppy’s Casino Gold, Ocean Rivers Casino, Puppy’s Casino Pride, Ocean 7 Casino, Big Daddy Casino) in the case against Sh. K C Veerendra, MLA, Chitradurga District, and others in the matter of illegal online and offline betting. During the search operations, various incriminating documents, cash amount of Rs. 12 Crore (approx.), including (approx.) 1 Crore in foreign currency, Gold Jewellery worth Rs. 6 Crore (approx.), Silver articles around 10 kgs, properties related documents, along with four vehicles were seized, Further, 17 bank accounts and 2 bank lockers were also frozen. Sh. K C Veerendra was arrested from Gangktok on 23.08.2025 and produced before Judicial Magistrate, Gangtok, Sikkim and transit remand was obtained for producing him before jurisdictional Court in Bangalore.
