why does everyone act like assuming good things is delusional but assuming bad things is just "being realistic" both are assumptions. Neither is proven. you might as well pick the one that actually benefits you. Like???
no you just need existential projects that are not your job. you need to be invested to your core in something that does not demand it. something you choose to give yourself fully and freely to that makes meaning out of your life.
We’re losing the ability to read beyond what is explicitly said. Context, subtext, implication, nuance, tone, these used to be things people naturally considered when interpreting communication. Now everything has to be taken literally and explained in the most explicit terms.
I don’t want to "download the app" to pay for parking. I don’t want to "create an account" to see a menu. I don’t want to "provide feedback" on a 30-second interaction. I just want to exist in the physical world without a digital leash.
read more books. read to escape reality. read to understand reality. read to challenge what you believe. read to think better. read to write better. read to argue better. read to know yourself. read to build something. a single book can completely rewire your brain.
I aspire to be a woman who keeps learning and evolving. Never stuck, never stagnant. Always reading, listening, growing, changing. I want to be humble enough to admit when I'm wrong and brave enough to do better. I want to be 50 and still discovering new things about myself.
According to psychology, if you leave every Social interaction overanalyzing what you said or how you came across, that's not just overthinking, it's often a sign of chronic masking. You weren't taught to just exist, you were taught to perform.
I’m in love with this sentence:
“The degree to which a person can grow is directly proportional to the amount of truth he can accept about himself without running away.”
