My A2: Something my students often did well with was comparing and contrasting things. It became a good way for helping them analyze problems. A favorite to do: Pose 2 problems and ask them to compare. Here’s an example #ElemMathChat

I've said "40 problems is a problem" referencing not so great worksheets. A few practice problems isn’t a terrible thing. But what if we changed the practice to feature strategy focus and reasonableness too! #elemmathchat
One thing that can be misunderstood about fluency is that fluency is all about basic fact recall. Facts play a big role but there is so much more to fluency. This is from Figuring Out Fluency. What other fluencys are there in elementary math? #elemmathchat
Reading @pgliljedahl's Building Thinking Classrooms, and this stood out to me: "when students are not thinking, everything we teach them is difficult. When students are thinking, however, almost anything is possible."
