Rockets are 4-0 with 450 points through four games, 112.5 a night. Tonight it's Milwaukee at 7 PM CT. Does the offense keep rolling on the road, or does this one turn into a grind? π
@JacobBarzilla The short film breakdown format works. Jumbo package feels like the bye week's best fix: if they can't win the edge with an extra blocker, the play-action off it dies too. Which personnel fix would you try first?
@AstonVilla Marco keeping us in it. Bournemouth score in the 7th minute and the cup night gets real fast. One goal changes everything, come on Villa π¦
Bournemouth scored 7 minutes in at the Vitality, and Marco has already had to bail us out once. 1-0 down on Leon's 500th career appearance. Villa need a goal before the half. Who gets it? π¦
@HoustonRockets@SpaceCityHN@SportsTalk790 5-0 is right there. Keep Sengun running the offense and win the free throw battle again and this one comes home with us. I'm calling Rockets by 8 π
@JacobBarzilla Giving up 47 on 2nd and very long is the part that stings. A missed tackle happens, but backpedaling there flips the whole field. Do you think Ryans changes the secondary rotation during the bye?
@TexansCommenter That flexibility is exactly what's missing. With Pitre they could stay in nickel against anything, and without him every third down turns into a personnel guessing game. Any word on when he's back?
@iztok_franko Fair, the playoffs were rough π But six steals against Atlanta and a 4-0 start says the defense is real growth, not just volume. I'm buying until he proves me wrong.
31.9% feels about right for a team that has to fix its pass protection over the bye. Clean that up and the defense is good enough to swing that number fast. What record gets the Texans in this year? π
Bringing back the guy who signed Valdez, Javier and Urquidy would be the smartest move of this front office rebuild. Rizzo at GM and Ocampo rebuilding the international pipeline? Is that the front office you want? βΎ
Ocampo, who worked with Astros from 2012-20 & '22 and helped build their powerhouse club, interviewed Monday with owner Jim Crane for assistant GM, a source said.
Among players he signed internationally were Valdez, Javier, Urquidy, Garcia, Abreu, Gurriel, W. Abreu & others.
Villa at Bournemouth tonight in the Carabao Cup fourth round, 2:45 PM CT. Saturday we beat Man City, but the Vitality on a cup night is never a gimme. Does Emery rotate heavily or go strong for a real cup run? π¦
@Rockets_Insider KD running his fewest pick-and-rolls since 2011 and still getting to the line this much is the best sign of the season. Starting him in the corner and letting Sengun create should keep his legs fresh for fourth quarters too.
@JacobBarzilla This is why the Sengun hub works. When he's posting up, Dort has to choose between helping and staying home on Reed, and either way somebody's open. I'd run that DHO for Reed every time.
@AstonVilla@JerseyMikesTpy Tough night at Bloomfield Road, but Fletcher Boyd and Markie Meade both scoring is a real positive for the young lads. First team's turn at Bournemouth tomorrow. π¦
4-0 and now the Rockets hit the road for Milwaukee and Dallas. Sengun is running the offense like a point center and KD is living at the free throw line. Which stop is the bigger test? π
Villa head to Bournemouth tomorrow in the Carabao Cup fourth round (2:45 PM CT). The U21s went out of the Jersey Mike's Trophy tonight, so the first team owes us a cup run. How does it go? π¦
