@MaxMiller500@desitechsuppoat Unambiguously and emphatically yes.
Some of these industries are 50-70% H1-B. Software development isn't even the worst.
Silicon design verification and physical design teams are in that range or higher. I am frequently the only American in a room. It's disgusting.
That was how I played FFXII. In the second area I was killing those werewolf things and farming katanas, then damn near one-hit-killed every boss for the rest of the game.
I loved that game's battle system, then quickly realized I didn't enjoy the story but finished it in an afternoon anyway.
@chunrecompgames Need to do this for amazing games that didn't run amazing on their original hardware and didn't get remakes or ports to more powerful platforms, like Banjo-Kazooie: Nuts and Bolts.
@futstix I hated that game. Viciously.
You forgot the best part: judges! Oh TODAY you can't use that thing you worked your ass off to unlock and built your entire party around.
How "fun."
@BestBuySupport@therealDeFlock This is why you're going out of business.
All you had to do was the right thing, like you used to do less than 10 years ago.
.@VP: "There has been no company in the United States, unfortunately, that has abused this system more than Microsoft."
Microsoft laid off 6,000 American workers in 2025 after certifying that it could not find qualified American employees β yet the company was approved for more than 6,000 H-1Bs and filed 3,682 PERM applications, including nearly 1,000 applications for the same positions as the laid off American workers.
@bumbadum14 Visual Studio Express.
Zune.
Windows 7.
Xbox 360.
Windows Phone 7.
Even Office Home and Student was pretty great.
I miss Ballmer's Microsoft so much, man.
@ReezyResells I hate dealerships enough that I will probably buy a Tesla as my next vehicle simply because I want to be rid of them in my life.
@reoindustries may also get a purchase from me.
@DoGoodGodson@elonmusk@ClownWorld Sure, why not?
But until then, we have to live with what we have to live with and encouraging people to have delusions is not a kinder way to work around that fact.
Golly gosh, what is there to care about? Maybe the vision of this talented developer producing a fun game?
You fuckers couldn't give two shits about game developers 3 years ago.
Now AI makes it easy for tiny teams to punch way above their weight and you're upset because "AI is putting people out of work!"
Yeah? When was the last time you gave a shit about off-shore outsourcing?
