Thoughts on China so far as an American.
•It’s HOT. Beijing is 90+ I was actually shocked when I stepped out. But there’s air conditioning inside so it’s not too bad.
•Shopping is a lot of fun. Everything is super high quality and cheaper than the US. Outfit below costed less than $100.
•Food is amazing and so cheap.
•They take Apple Pay at most places. This one was the most surprising I thought for sure I’d need WeChat pay or use cash.
•The subways are clean and the streets are safe to walk at night, no homeless people in sight anywhere.
•Almost got ran over by vespas like 10 times.
•Found it funny that the first thing I saw at PEK after flying from SFO was another AI billboard but in Chinese.
•The people are generally pretty nice. A lot more pro-tech and growth oriented vs the average American sentiment.
•No one’s shown me their office yet 😭
Overall I’d say @levelsio’s right. Worth the visit.
