I think my toxic trait is that, I never really know how to talk about my feelings. I talk to myself in my head a lot about how I feel & I explain it so well, but getting it to actually come out my mouth is so hard.
i saw an article that read “healing can be so hard when your inner child wants love, your teenage self wants revenge, and your current self only wants peace.”
man, i really related to that.
DO NOT tell people everything that you have going on in your life…. Relationships, ideas, next moves, etc!!!!! Only let people know what they need to know and that’s still very MINIMUM!!! Remember one day they can be FOR YOU and the next day they can just flip!!!
outgrowing people is very real. we all bloom in different seasons and sometimes you might be evolving in different areas of life, faster than your peer or partner. it can be painful when you realize. will they catch up to you someday? maybe. that’s none of your concern though.
Incase no one told you: you aren’t here to live, work, endlessly seek validation, and to be approved of by everyone. The more authentic you are, the less approval you’ll get. Have the courage to not be for everyone and watch how much better life gets.
Do u ever just hear someone speak and you're just like: you're so smart??? how did you become like this?
Eloquence is a measure of how well someone can connect their ideas. It's very telling when people are exceptional because they also communicate their thinking patterns well
you are under no obligation to engage with people who feel entitled to your time and energy. creating a deep and healthy bond with someone requires a mutual output of reciprocity - realistic reciprocity which takes into account mental health and busy lives.
no but it’s so cool that sometimes when you go to adopt a cat they’re like “oh. well he comes with this other cat because they’re best friends and have to be together”
even if their presence is fleeting, some people enter your life to show you what love is. if it doesn’t work and they can’t stay, or the connection doesn’t continue: it’s still something to celebrate. it’s proof you are able to continually open yourself up to the love you deserve
