That's unfortunate, because it's the opposite in Greece. Direct eye is expected as it shows sincerity and trustworthiness. If these two cultures collided, it could be difficult to work out.
British people tend not to use extended eye contact. Holding eye contact for a long period during conversation is usually not well-received, and the encounter may be perceived as uncomfortable.
Long-term relationships are valued very highly in Germany. Make sure you get to know your German colleagues very well and show a genuine interest in establishing a friendship with them @Professor_Hoang#BUS302#Germany
Swedish companies are generally built on a strong base of cooperation and full participation. All opinions need to be taken into account when making a decision. The boss is only the facilitator of the decision-making process.
Most work days in Mexico start at around 7am-9am. Lunch is typically taken from 2pm to 4pm and dinner is eaten at about 8pm to 10pm. The best time to schedule a morning meeting in Mexico is at 10 am right after breakfast.
Good to know! It seems like when doing business internationally it can be a coin flip whether or not to accept tea on the first offer, so it's always good to know ahead of time.
A couple notes to remember while in a business meeting: it is important to receive coffee/tea with you right hand and considered impolite to not take a cup. Second, avoid crossing your legs during meetings so you will not show the sole of your foot. It is impolite and unclean.

When waving goodbye in Greece, make sure to keep your palm facing you! It is considered an insult to stick you palm out at someone. This is called moutza, and sticking both palms out as once is considered significantly more offensive.
In Greece (and in life in general tbh), if you are offered something as a gift, accept it! It is considered rude to refuse a gift, and you may find yourself in an awkward situation if you do so. The Greeks are known for their generosity, so be ready to accept a gift at any time.
