A quick 1-ish min guide to a simple Stage 0 (with pictures!). Done in a morning, 75m reconnected, cost-a bit of time. Unloved headwater wooded valley bottoms with single (incised) channels are big opportunity for quick wins; areas that can't be farmed. Lots in urban settings too.
Small boulder the size of a big boulder got us thinking....
How big is a boulder? 🪨
(and perhaps more importantly - why it matters and isn't just semantics!)

Severn Trent Water (and 5 other water companies) have finally released a live sewage spill map.
It’s not very easy to find and hasn’t received much of a launch!
But here it is. https://t.co/qHifYVmPzV
Will be fascinated to see what happens when we get heavy rain.
"Without white clawed crayfish, these precious habitats [chalk streams] are at risk, along with all the other wildlife that live there"
This is quite a claim when Austropotamobius is (most probably) non-native in the UK
