On the one hand, having a filibuster for regular order appropriations bills has made continuing resolutions and omnibuses the currency of the kingdom.

So if you have a 50 plus 1 threshold you’d make it more likely they would actually do their jobs as intended re: passing individual appropriation bills.

On the other hand, nuking the filibuster to pass Biden’s budget, which the CR represents, would be a far cry from the original DOGE days…. If you are gonna nuke it for spending bills then actually cut the spending.

The aurora from last night. I was trying a lower ISO at 800 instead of my usual 1600 so it is a bit darker that I had hoped.
