As for the rest of the con, I didn't get as much gaming done as I would've liked thanks to a fun combination of low energy and high anxiety. Still, got to play a few new games and I'm coming away with 1 new one to add to the pile of things at home I'll never get round to playing.

@ThreeUK The whole reason I chose store pick-up is that I'm going on holiday on Tuesday and wanted to be sure I could get my new phone before then (since my old one has charging issues). I assumed that store pick-up of something showing as "in stock" would mean THE STORE HAD FUCKING STOCK

OMG, what a horrific UX on the @ThreeUK website for upgrades. Takes me through choosing a new device and plan, confirm details, etc. THEN you tell me the only "delivery" option is store pick-up AND none of the stores within 50 miles of me have the device I selected in step one...

@ThreeUK Ugh, WTF. Finally after going all the way back through and finding a device that shows as "in stock" in my local store, I order that for store pick-up, only to then find out that it will be delivered to the store in two working days.
