@LAPCSTeam is excited to have @starleecoleman as our new national leader. She is nothing less than ferocious about providing more school choice options and raising the bar on what’s possible for all kids through a great education. Geaux Starlee!
@RickEdmondsLA gave us chills with his fiery closing argument yesterday for SB 350!
"Without reservation and without hesitation, I ask for your favorable passage."

@teasleygeo Agree with your points. Wondering though if you believe students have a right to information about financial aid from their schools? Louisiana reversed policy related to FAFSA being a requirement to graduate. I worry that some won’t ever get the info now. I can see both sides.
You know you’re a geek when…the best part of your day was talking about pension integrity with @ReasonFdn. It’s time the State takes the debt of TRSL off the backs of our public schools. Teachers deserve choice too.
Our Executive Director Caroline Roemer discussing pension reform with @jimtuckerforla and Steven Gassenberger at the @pelicaninstitute summit today in Baton Rouge.

@teasleygeo@GEOPrepGBR As an older woman myself, is it inappropriate to say “old ladies rock”? Maybe “retirees got it going on”! Thank you for continuing to serve and educate students.
@RepSchlegel Congratulations. I share your belief that education is so important for Louisiana to thrive. @LAPCSTeam looks forward to working with you and the rest of your House Ed Cmt members.
Don’t you love candidates that are against crime and for education!?@LAPCSTeam wanted specifics so we went straight to the the candidates. Check out the only video based education survey made available to the public. Decide for yourself. Vote. https://t.co/7aFY0GqnTi
One of my favorite high schools. A perfect example of what it looks like to create a mission based school that meets kids where they are in life and then pulls them close to get them across the stage. Come see it for yourself. We will proudly host you!
Great school tour at The NET Gentilly, an alternative charter school guiding struggling students to succeed. The school offers coaching, internships, & a free, on-site early childhood center for parenting students. https://t.co/hZe4uwPec9 #lalege#laed#LDOE#BESE
Amazing turnout for our school tours over the last few weeks. We appreciate all the legislators and elected officials for showing up to learn more about charter schools and to hear from educators and students. Hope to see more @LouisianaHouse@louisianasenate at the next one!
Thank you to Bayou Community Academy for hosting today's school tour for our legislative delegation and BESE. Thanks to Rep. Amedee, Rep. DeVillier, Rep. Fontenot, Rep. Greg Miller, Rep. Orgeron, Rep. St. Blanc, Rep. Zeringue, and BESE Member Sandy Holloway for attending.
