Section 224, which is pretty much guaranteed to pass at this point unless massive opposition is mobilized against it, is the most dangerous and deranged policy in modern US history. It fully integrates the US and Israeli militaries and transforms the "US sends Israel arms" legal-policy framework to "US and Israel are one and the same". It will make any embargo let alone limitation on weapons practically impossible to impose. It is unprecedented in all of history for a country to do this with its own military, and further proves that Zionists and Israel wholly own the US.
Any politician and media outlet and just any person with a large platform who is not vocally and repeatedly opposing this is actively or tacitly helping ensure a permanent enslavement of the US to the genocidal Israeli death-cult and a guarantee that it will continue its genocide and wars indefinitely.
NEW: Trump openly admitted he asked a federal prosecutor to investigate California’s primaries after his preferred candidates fell behind — a blatant abuse of executive power.
Our democracy is being dismantled in plain sight, but that's not how national media is treating it, Marc Elias writes.

I see your profile picture. That’s Johnny Cash. My hero too. Arrested seven times. Smuggled 668 amphetamines across the Mexican border in 1965. Took every drug there was and drank like I did. Cheated on his first wife. Slept with more woman than I ever did. Hit bottom in a cave in Tennessee in 1968 trying to crawl off and die. And then he got up. He got clean. He spent the rest of his life singing for prisoners and addicts and the people the country threw away because he knew he was one of them.
That was the whole point of the Man in Black. He wore it for the poor and the beaten down. He wore it for the prisoner who has long paid for his crime. He wore it for the ones who never heard a word of Jesus. He wore it for the addicted and the dying. He wore it as a standing witness that no one is past saving.
You picked his picture. You did not pick his message. Try listening to the words.
Shifting U.S. military support for Israel from foreign aid (Foreign Military Financing (FMF)) to procurement, as Congress is proposing, makes U.S. assistance automatic and divorces it from political conditions:
“Critically, there is no procurement equivalent of an FMF condition. A procurement contract does not contain clauses requiring a foreign partner to modify its foreign policy, restrain its military operations, or make concessions on a peace process. …There is no residual space for demands about Gaza, the West Bank, or relations with Arab neighbors.”
The U.S. blank check to Israel would no longer be a check at all — and as such, it would be less traceable, less visible, and impossible to withhold if Israel transgresses against U.S. national interests.
The U.S. seldom uses the leverage over an Israel that its current military aid programs provide, but at the very least, we can *see* them and debate them.
If Congress shifts aid to a procurement pipeline, we can’t.
Even if the U.S. is paying Israel firms for services, it’s still aid. Why?
It’s complicated, but the gist as I understand it boils down to the huge scale of the U.S. procurement base compared to Israel’s. Because the U.S. is a ginormous country, with runaway military spending that buys vast quantities of materiel, embedding Israeli firms deeply in the process guarantees those firms a huge market for their products, far beyond what would meet Israel’s defense needs.
Among other things, producing military goods at higher quantity makes the per unit cost cheaper for Israel to supply itself (alongside the U.S.).
That is, in effect, a subsidy to Israel’s defense base disguised as U.S. procurement.

BREAKING: A Florida meteorologist just went on air and said he can’t accurately report the weather anymore, because Trump’s DOGE cuts gutted the satellite data he relies on.
We’re not just defunding science, we’re sabotaging public safety.
And for what? So a billionaire surveillance firm can get another contract while Americans can’t even get a hurricane warning on time?
