I am so glad this project is being shown to so many. I echo @ShannaPeeples comment: working on @2892MilestoGo has been amazing, truly one of the most energizing and impactful projects I’ve worked on.
This week we put out the final episode of Crash Course Black American History. We worked on this series for over 3 years and put out 51 episodes spanning the transatlantic slave trade to the Black Lives Matter movement. I’m so proud of what we made.

Maps are fabulous, but don’t tell the whole story. Redlining isn’t the only cause of systemic racism: “Every piece of the American metropolis, from the downtown skyscraper to the exurban McMansion, is part of a thoroughly racialized landscape….” https://t.co/iMWJ2uWIt7
“There is a Rondo of yesteryear, there is a Rondo of today, and there will always be a Rondo of tomorrow.” THIS is why we study history and why we must tell untold stories.
It's a great honor to have illustrated today's Google Doodle which celebrates stickball & traditional lacrosse!
Many folks who play the game call it the Creator's game and I wanted to make sure I could capture the healing ceremonial nature of the sport!

His comments on "too much diversity" at @UMNMorris were unacceptable.
We have all White leadership in the @UMNews administration and a mostly White Board of Regents. The next Vice Chair should be a person of color unless the Regents simply don't care.

Students reflected on the furor over University of Minnesota Regent Steve Sviggum’s remarks questioning whether declining enrollment at this campus is because the school is “too diverse.” https://t.co/WfCzaZHptH
Hoping that Sviggum and the @UMNews Board of Regents will go talk to Morris students this week. Don’t wait until your March meeting (that has been scheduled for over a year - so do not make it seem like you’re going then to apologize!!) https://t.co/325vAt6TYh
