@daffydowndilly Purple stars are Scilla luciliae (glory-of-the-snow) darker bobbly ones on sticks are grape hyacinths, we have volunteers of them in our garden. There's also some forget-me-nots in the other pic. They all self seed prolifically, so may be there innocently.
@simoncollister @2021Iom @paulmoulton I'm learning, so yes there are a good amount, but it's incomparable to the other languages those have spoken of, i.e. French and mandarin. Also I've been wearing a badge that says 'loayrt gaelg rhym' everyday for 2 mo now, & I've yet to have a convo with a stranger ayns gaelg 🥲
@ShaunGelling@john___m @2021Iom @paulmoulton I'm sure there are many ways to be 'Super Manx'. :) This one is is one of the many aspects that are important to me and my family in choosing a representative.
@amorningboat@john___m @2021Iom @paulmoulton I think learning it shows an important interest in the culture and history of the Island ...and maybe a tenacity (?) As it's not an easy language to learn by any means. Especially as it might not be considered as 'useful' as say French or Mandarin. 🤷🏻♀️
Nagh vel ad yindyssagh?! A series of 7 beautiful posters have been created by the #cassan project (a collaboration between @bunscoill + Conradh na Gaeilge in Lower Mourne), and facilitated through #colmcille1500. Here's a little snapshot of some!
