I thought I was done when the season ended. I wasn't ready to announce it, and I knew I needed some time to really decide, but I was pretty sure I played my last game. I was honest at that last press conference when I said I needed to look at myself and deicide if I still love

London: Post Review
Personal yap: (if you want game feedback skip to below). Its nice to be able to travel to another city for an event, especially after coming from a team last year that didnt have a chance to do so.
Was able to fly my Girlfriend out after some extended time, got to try a lot of nice restaurants in london in mix of working and staying focused. Weather a bit spotty, but im glad it warmed up on the final weekend and that we are out before it hits almost 100 degrees (35c).
All in all a great time, was nice to have the ability to explore during this event.
Game Yap: NGL im sad. im sad we didnt close out ascent, im sad we didnt approach split properly, and just our fuse burned out on lotus. No real excuse for this, we are well rested, we have a 2x ban, we have the experience.
At the same time, its hard to really argue against b2b grand finals appearances. Realistically, going from the santiago run, into map shifts/meta shifts is pretty damn difficult to stay at the top. We managed to stabilize our map pool and get ahead on the meta read to win pacific and lock champs, and thats a pretty big deal
You will probably will see it in a vlog at some point, but the big focus we have is just building “championship mentality”. I dont believe in this team being cursed, we just have to solve what that “blocker” is.
Can ask “well the teams been to 4+ grand finals how is there a mental block” and if the answer to that was easy, we wouldnt be questioning it in the first place. Winning is hard, and its hard to do that in any sport, and tons of teams struggle with that. Theres tons of great teams in val that have struggled with that. We just have to keep building the resolve to continue to stay at the top and move forward. It just simply wasnt our time yet to walk away with a trophy again and thats okay.
Going forward: we have EWC, we have stage 2. We have some breathing room to test new ideas to make sure we go into champs ready. These learnings are what we are focusing on to take that next step.
Thanks everyone for your support.
