@cmclymer Unbelievable they keep not attending events where their country win the world championship! That’s now the Diving World Cup, Eight Ball Pool world Championship, The World Billiards Championship, The World Bowls Championship, The World Cup of Darts, and now this. Shocking!
@Samfr Average wage in 1954 was £7 per week, and the state pension was £1.36 per week. In 1954 that house was no cheaper, it was still 330 times the average annual income.

@robwmedia@Peston It’s extremely concerning that not only did you write this, with completely misplaced confidence in your complete misunderstanding of inflation and deflation, but that 20 people liked your post and appear to agree with you!? This is basic financial understanding…
Twitter has got really click baity since the monetisation thing. My feed is full of obvious dumb takes written to gain short term interaction and nothing more. Sad.
The weirdest thing about this is that this has gone viral, globally, in mainstream media, and not a single person has come forwards to say they know her. No disgruntled exes, no old school friends, no work colleagues, she literally disappeared. Who can do that in this day?!

@AlanFresco4@EdConwaySky Because the vast majority of movers move up the property chain and will now be reassessing whether they *need* a more expensive property now, or if they can live with what they have for another 6 months to see how the market settles. 6 months turns into years.
@St4rkie @EdConwaySky It took 8 years for the mortgage market to return to the same level of high ltv lending after 2008.
The only people who think this is good for FTB’s are financially ignorant. Cash buyers and homeowners will be most protected from this, renters least so.
