My old mentor introduced me to @Trader_Dante - one of the few that I’ve learnt from. Thanks Brad wherever you are. Took 2025 off but coming back in 2026. This post resonates ;)
Why work a 9-5 just to make someone else rich? Instead, you could be sitting on your own staring at the market all day, risking your own money with no guarantee of making any, with no health care and no pension plan. It’s cool. I love it so much. Cheers.
@Tom__Capital Either way, its tough to get a license & keep guns here. Did say that he belonged to a gun club though so... long time planning - go ASIO!
@Tom__Capital Sorry bud, gutter talk from twitter as always. Quick search "Sajid Akram arrived in Australia on a student visa in 1998, which was transferred to a partner visa in 2001, and he has been on a resident visa ever since. Naveed Akram is an Australian citizen born here"...
Along with calling it and not taking it, there’s a trading terms no one talks about called “The Social Hedge”
What it is: You post that you are super bearish a market, whilst being up to your nuts long. Or vice versa.
Why it’s effective: If you lose money on the trade, at least you look like a genius on X and can probably monetise this.
If you look like a turd on X, at least you’ve cleaned up in your trading account.
I know for many, after a long week of trading, it takes real motivation to sit down and analyse it all.
If you’ve done well, you might tell yourself “why bother?”.
If you’ve done badly, you might think: “I can’t bear re-living all my mistakes, I’ll just try harder next week” without any solid plan of exactly what you’re going to work on and importantly, how to improve on it.
You have to fight these thoughts to consistently elevate performance.
I’ve tweeted this review process many times. Remember: curiosity is the foundation for improvement.
@Tradermayne If you are using UX'ers who are not experienced building trading apps, ideally with background in banking & fintech, are traders themselves (both crypto, tradfi + orderflow exp. so they know the details and what not to do) then your going to get a whole lot of nothing...
@zachxbt@1intro For a "concept" that is supposed to protect the end user, level the playing field, filter out scammers & grifters... they've basically got scamming grifters as admins. Cool story. Lady of Crypto lol...
