I’ve been getting a couple of questions about the July 17 date.
The @FinancialCmte has scheduled a field hearing on the 17th to examine “how the Clarity Act unlocks innovation.”
It’s a House hearing, not a vote on the bill.
1/ I’ve had a few conversations with people in the crypto community who are becoming worried about Clarity’s progress.
Legislation is never guaranteed, but I strongly believe there is a path to get the Clarity Act to the President’s desk.
Here’s why:
🧵
WATCH: Chairman @RepFrenchHill on the CLARITY ACT:
“We need to find a way to get this forward. I think pro-innovation Democrats need to unite with Republicans in the Senate and get this bill across the Senate floor so that we can honor our commitment that we made last year that we want the U.S. to have a clear framework for digital assets… the innovation is ongoing and we want it to be done here in America and we want American financial services firms leading it.”

1/ Today @TheJusticeDept responded to a recent letter from four law enforcement groups regarding the Clarity Act, and pushed back on the groups' claims:
"The letter from these groups contains factual inaccuracies and mischaracterizes Administration policy."
The spokesperson further noted that "law enforcement’s access to relevant information will not change" and that the bill "does not restrict DOJ’s ability to investigate or prosecute criminal activity involving digital assets, including drug trafficking, human smuggling, and terrorism financing."

Millions of Americans own crypto. 70% say Congress is overdue on regulation.
Former Rep. Al Wynn: a packed legislative calendar is no excuse to stall the Clarity Act, or the consumer protections that come with it.

The Clarity Act reflects years of work to create clear crypto rules. Yet, it remains stalled in the Senate.
Get it done. For consumers. For the industry. For America’s future.
Tell your senator to pass the Clarity Act: (202) 224-3121.
1/ The Clarity Act is American leadership at its best that will define the next 250 years of global finance.
We're close.
And that's exactly why the next few weeks are so important.

🚨NEW: Coordinated engagement with Senate lawmakers on stablecoin yield has become a key focus of state bankers association conferences around the country, according to a banking source familiar with the gatherings.
The outreach comes as the conversation on Capitol Hill has shifted away from yield and toward securing an ethics deal, bridging gaps between the Banking and Agriculture Committee texts, and the bill’s approach to DeFi ahead of a potential floor vote.
Still, the source said yield remains “very much in play,” particularly as senators outside the relevant committees learn more about the legislation.
Whether stablecoin yield reemerges as a defining issue when the bill reaches the Senate floor remains to be seen.
@MariaBartiromo@MorningsMaria@FoxBusiness Great to speak with you this morning, @MariaBartiromo. The Clarity Act is the opposite of deregulatory. It creates rules, consumer protections, and legal clarity that don't exist today. Critics should read the bill.
It's time to pass the Clarity Act and sign it into law.
Thank you, @CTATech, @mpetricone, and @kmfabrizio for supporting this critical legislation that will ensure America's global leadership in digital assets.
What my GENIUS Act is doing for stablecoin innovation, CLARITY will do for the broader digital asset market.
CLARITY will provide the clear rules of the road needed to ensure digital asset innovation flourishes in America.

🚨🗞️NEW: Why the Math Doesn't Work for a July 4 Clarity Act
With just 9 working days before recess, lawmakers still need to resolve ethics, merge texts & navigate procedural hurdles.
But there’s still optimism about the bill’s passage this year.
