@LouStagner Why is this controversial? Data from the pros and the amateurs suggest closer is better under basically all circumstances?
I only ever “lay back” if it means avoiding hazards, narrows, or other high risk shots
@RedmonMatt You are 100% correct and every guest I’ve brought has experienced/commented the same. The staff are tremendous and their dedication to giving everyone the best possible experience makes the difference.
@fehrgolf This is one of my favorite practice routines. Take a 7 iron and hit a 50% shot focused on strike quality and shot shape. Used to be especially critical when I lived up North coming off the winter off-season
@CaddieNetwork@UrbanekMark Played a lot of caddie rounds. Best ever was a guy who looped for a top 10 champions tour player…he saved me probably 5-6 strokes (2-3 decision making, 2-3 green reading). Most of the time they’ll save 1-2 shots through local knowledge
@VUMCSurgRes @VUMCSurgery @VUMCTrauma Let’s go Dr G! Such a great clinician and mentor, still remember learning from him as a medical student. Wishing all the best
@rbarbosa91@nataliemwall@dorcodoc One of the absolute Godfathers of thoracic surgery once told me - “if you put in enough chest tubes you’ll eventually put one in the abdomen”. He also sent me a note saying “nice shot young man” with an attached photo of the CXR after I had to put a tube in his patient
@loconte@JCO_ASCO Thank you for sharing, such a difficult story but rings true to many (all?) of us in oncology. I am thankful for the grace that 99.9% of patients show in the face of bad news but have had similar fears in rare cases
@mkatzmd @heatherlyu@MDAndersonNews@CrisyRoland Congratulations Heather and look forward to seeing what you will accomplish! Thrilled to have you as part of our section
@mleggturf Use the cart GPS. If you know your carry distances and trust them it’s really not that bad. Just have to pay attention to where it tries to visually fool you
@SurgJournal Disappointing series of tweets and disappointing half-hearted apology. Major surgical journals should not engage in this type of “us vs them” superiority complexes
@TweetingDrE Once upon a time I was working a 24 on Christmas. Was turned away from the hospital turkey feast in the cafeteria because it was for “patients and employees” 😬😬😬
