Thanks Elon Musk for taking the time to speak to Palisades fire firefighters.

The discussion backs up what I said from the very start. The fires have nothing to do with the water being diverted for smelt, like Republicans keep saying.

In the words of the firefighter himself: "We were flowing an amount of water that the system couldn’t hold — just because how much water these firefighters were utilizing."

It's pretty simple really. The more water that is being used at once, the lower the water pressure in the pipes are. Once you need a certain amount of water, it doesn't matter how much water is in the system.

This isn't about a water shortage. It's about the pipes being overwhelmed.

People need to stop spreading misinformation.

BREAKING: Republican Liz Cheney brings down the hammer on MAGA candidates Donald Trump and Ron DeSantis, saying that anyone who wants to "pardon Jan. 6th defendants is not qualified to be President."

Donald Trump has promised to pardon a "large portion" of the treasonous insurrectionists who stormed the Capitol during the deadly Jan. 6th riot. Presumably, he wants them walking the streets so that they can attempt another coup effort on his behalf.

Not to be outdone in extremist rhetoric, DeSantis is now floating the idea that he will pardon some of the convicted insurrectionists and would even consider pardoning Trump if he's "charged with federal offenses."

These promises expose the GOP as completely fraudulent for claiming to be the party of "law and order." They only support the law when it harms marginalized communities. A central tenet of their fascist ideology is that white Christian conservatives should be treated as above the law.
