@skaushik100@WAStateStandard@MayorofSeattle I’m not a fan of Pollet and Davis doesn’t strike me as particularly radical. I’ll be glad if Davis unseats Pollet.
I have no dog in the fight in the 43rd and know nothing about Sabio-Howell.
@loganb@2024dion@PaulTheUrbanist It may have been shelved for budget reasons, but there was a lot of opposition to adding the needed wire segments as well.
In theory nothing other than the cost of new busses with sufficient off-wire capability is needed. Certainly a better idea than the battery electric fiasco.
@loganb@2024dion@PaulTheUrbanist The pitchforks and torches came out the last time Metro proposed electrifying the 48 or extending the wires on Madison past 23rd.
@schuyler_t@TheLastNeocon Not to mention a lot of local progressives/leftists hate her because she plays nice with the Democratic establishment like Jeffres and Schumer.
@TheLastNeocon@Garbagestyleman Sigh, people don’t seem to realize you have to be able to win in places like Georgia and Texas if you want to actually govern.
@alicianieves__ The problem as I see it is both parties have been taken over by the extremes. There isn’t much room in the GOP for anyone who isn’t MAGA while on the Dem side there isn’t much energy or activism from anywhere but the left (Bernie fans, DSA, etc.)
@kvvnrggn@alicianieves__@TheEliKlein In my experience independents and Democrats who pay even the slightest bit of attention are well aware there is a difference between Mamdani and Obama.
The problem comes from the apathy where they aren’t willing to open their checkbooks or put boots on the ground.
