@nafonsopt@AgustinCordes Sadly, you are probably remembering correctly...
Most of the different data layouts / names are in architecture specific stuff which often is justifiable. But there are also just cases that seem to have no good reason.
Android is linux-but-not-really-lol so yeah...
@nafonsopt@AgustinCordes There are (*at least!) a couple of people who have done PI stuff. I'm one of them! I should see about getting my works-for-me-on-pi version of POSIX getting into the compiler distribution...
@rfleury@TheGingerBill@egor_zelenkov @TheSegfaultChef @nicbarkeragain This is what I went for with jai dynamic arrays. Goldilocks picked the middle one.
Does Odin automatically output the `.raddbg` segment with it's type views in then? Can user code not do that kind of thing?
@cmuratori Just went to back for the physical books, was wondering why I didn't do that for 1 and 2. Then... $50 shipping to UK is whyπ Oh well, looking forward to reading the digital version all the same!
@cmuratori Scott Aaronson is my go to for such questions. Eg a recent podcast answering your question: https://t.co/TDL8vYgRVi, or a recent blog post clearly explaining the Microsoft claim: https://t.co/xHZ6yc2d62
(Incidentally I was made aware of Scott by friend of the JACS @hamish_todd!)
@LubaRaphael@cmuratori@Jonathan_Blow Similarly, Unreal Engine deletes pdb (and .lib/.exp) files prior to linking. We store/upload pdbs for crashes, would have been great to cut their size in half!
If you have access to ue source, the code: https://t.co/sNYlRjE9I6
@03lafaye@Jonathan_Blow Thanks! Jai compiler is nothing to do with me, you'll have to figure that one out on your own I'm afraid. The quest sample code is me, but it's not in a sharable state atm.
Another novel mechanic. Make a beat to control the character and it will repeat those movements on loop. This one I think has post-jam potential with some polish put into the sound based mechanics.
