In Zypern sollte man gerade nicht darüber diskutieren, wer verhandeln darf.

Entscheidend ist nicht die nächste diplomatische Kulisse, sondern ob die Ukraine genügend Luftabwehr bekommt, damit Russland „keine Chance hat, tatsächlich irgendwo einen Erfolg gegenüber der Ukraine zu erzielen“.

Genau das ist der Punkt.

Dass Diplomatie aktuell nicht funktioniert, liegt nicht an der Ukraine.

Sie scheitert daran, dass Putin seine Kriegsziele nicht aufgibt.

Dieser Krieg wird derzeit nicht durch Gesprächsrunden entschieden, sondern durch Produktionszahlen:

Luftabwehr.
Raketen.
Munition.

Und wenn Russland militärisch wirklich dominant wäre, müsste es keine strategischen Demonstrationswaffen wie die Oreschnik einsetzen.

Wendepunkt im Tiergarten. Ein leitender Polizeibeamter, ein Herr Drechsler, mit dem Henry heute Morgen in Treptow noch angenehm gesprochen hatte, trifft jetzt im Tiergarten ein.

Er spricht mit den Beamten vor Ort, kommt zurück und erklärt die neue Lage: Alles war ein „ganz, ganz großes Missverständnis“.

Selbstverständlich darf Henry rein, alle Ukrainer auch. Bemerkenswert: Diese Erkenntnis kommt erst, nachdem der russische Botschafter den Tiergarten verlassen hat.

Henry, auf den zeitlichen Zusammenhang angesprochen: „Ja, dann sehe ich wohl.“ Sehen wir auch.

Parallel veröffentlicht @PolizeiBerlin_E auf X eine offizielle Klarstellung: „Entgegen im Internet kursierender Informationen ist es einzelnen Personen weiterhin erlaubt, die Ehrenmäler mit Ukraine-Fahnen zu betreten.“ Begrüßenswert.

Nur kursieren diese Informationen im Internet nicht zufällig, sondern weil es heute Vormittag mehrere Fälle gab, in denen genau das verweigert wurde.

Henry wurde abgewiesen mit der Begründung, er sei „letztes Jahr aufgefallen“, es ginge bei ihm um „Gefahrenabwehr“.

Andere Aktivisten wurden vom Platz verwiesen. Erst nach Abreise des Botschafters und Drechslers persönlicher Intervention vor Ort wurde die Linie korrigiert und alles als „großes Missverständnis“ abgehakt.

Vorher: deutsche Bürger draußen, vom zeitlichen Zusammenhang her denkbar, weil es die russische Botschaft es so will.

Nachher: war doch alles ein Versehen. Die offizielle Kommunikation passt jetzt zur Verfügungslage. Die Praxis von heute Vormittag passte nicht. Beides gehört in die Akte.

I honored Roman with the Future of Ukraine award.
We spoke about his path, training, and plans. He has been playing chess since the age of five and has already achieved major victories both in Ukraine and internationally.

I congratulate him on this important victory and thank him for representing Ukraine on the international stage at such a high level.
