Incredible churches in wild landscapes. From the rugged wilds of the Cairngorms and the ancient woodlands of the New Forest to the golden shores of the Pembrokeshire Coast.

Desperately difficult times for communities across Scotland facing the loss of a church building and with it a sense of continuity, permanence and place.
A favourite of ours to visit, the gem that is St Gregory’s, Vale of Lune, near #sedbergh, in the care of @TheCCT
Superb stained glass in this tiny church built for railway workers.

I can not recommend this role more highly. A wonderful organisation with a really strong executive team and talented board. @TheCCT is in great shape and historic church buildings are the most significant heritage challenge for the next 5-10 years https://t.co/HkN6cuHyEn
Some excellent news...just heard that the government's Listed Places of Worship Grant Scheme has been extended for another 3 years until March 25. This is the scheme that gives a grant to cover the cost of VAT on repairs to listed places of worship.

The beautiful Ceiling at Carlisle Cathedral. It might be England's second smallest Cathedral but as they say...good things come in small packages. Definitely worth a visit.
Through grants and advice we’re helping churches and community groups to work closer together to establish community-owned businesses in active places of worship. #churches@churchofengland Thanks to @AllchurchesT you can apply for grants here: https://t.co/pije0Ge6Tx
