Modernizing Municipal Bonds @muni_bonds.
Engineer & Inventor. Ran for US Congress in Virginia, rugged by the Supreme Court. @solarpunk_vc. Personal account.
Transcontinental railroad: built in 6 years (1869)
Golden gate bridge: 4 years (1937)
Hoover dam: 5 years, finished 2 years early (1936)
The Pentagon, largest office building on earth: 16 months (1943)
These were all built by citizens buying bonds.
Now, the infrastructure bond issuance process can take as long as it used to take to build this feats. It's time for a major overhaul of how muni bonds are issued.
@auryn_macmillan single price auctions are considered a type of modified dutch auction, because bids are cleared in descending-price order. semantics...

Blind Single-price Dutch Auctions are one of the most efficient ways to sell.
This auction design creates real price discovery for assets that might otherwise be completely illiquid.
And the best part is... no Buyers Remorse.
I made a video for my favorite kind of auction:

DeFi users need to understand stablecoins.
Super excited to welcome @TokenBrice from @PharosWatch as my first whiteboard guest!
From @LiquityProtocol's decentralized stablecoins to the mechanisms keeping stables safe - and how to utilize those insights on @DeFiSaver
As an expert stablecoin researcher - Brice takes us through the different stablecoin models, the risks behind them, and what users should actually look for when evaluating their safety.
We also take a closer look at:
-> Why many supposedly decentralized stablecoins still rely on centralized entities
-> How governance, multisigs, collateral composition and redemption mechanisms can make or break a stablecoin
-> How Pharos evaluates stablecoin safety and identifies warning signs before things go wrong
-> Real-world examples, including $USDG, $crvUSD and Liquity's $LUSD and $BOLD
A great conversation for anyone looking to better understand the stablecoins they're using.
