Never forget.
Thousands. Night after night. Walking straight in.
This is not abstract. This is not a talking point. This is the country your kids will inherit if you stay home.
Never forget what they let happen.
Never forget who told you it was compassion while your towns absorbed the criminal behavior, your hospitals, and your schools absorbed the cost.
Never forget that elections are the last peaceful way to say this stops.
Vote like the border is the story they never wanted you to see. Because it is.
🚨 RUBIO JUST SAID THE NUMBER THEY NEVER WANTED ON TV 🚨
Americans work 40 years.
They retire.
Social Security: $800. $900. A thousand a month.
Somebody who got here from Cuba three months ago: $1,500 a month.
Marco Rubio said it out loud.
“So imagine if you’ve been working here for 40 years and your Social Security check is smaller than the benefits going to a 28-year-old, able-bodied person who just got here. That’s real. That happens. That’s happening every day. That makes no sense.”
You paid in.
They landed.
They beat your check.
That’s not compassion.
That’s a slap in the face with your own tax dollars.
Trump should propose the same law that Argentina president Javier Milei just introduced: If politicians run a deficit, they STOP GETTING PAID.
YES! DO IT NOW!
No salaries for public officials, from the president down to members of Congress, until the budget is balanced. Public office was never supposed to be a lucrative career for narcissists and psychopaths. It was meant to be a civic duty and an obligation.
Javier Milei’s "Fiscal Shackle" law finally forces accountability. If politicians don't do their job, THEY pay the price, not the taxpayers. Why can’t we have common sense like this in America?
Colorado lost 11,700 payroll jobs in 2025. The national economy grew.
Nevada, Idaho, and Utah — same mountains, same weather, same amenity story we've been selling for a generation — are leading the country in job creation.
Governor Polis's response? A competitiveness council and a listening tour. Every county. Businesses of every size. If that sounds familiar, it's because Hickenlooper ran the identical play in 2011: the Colorado Blueprint, more than 50 regional working sessions, all 64 counties. Fifteen years later, here we are again — this time with five months left on the governor's clock.
The answers are already in. The 230 business leaders behind Dan Caruso's April open letter. The Colorado Chamber. The Leeds business confidence index, which just spent five consecutive quarters with the state economy component dead last after ranking in the top two for 66% of the index's 23-year history. Palantir — our largest public company — which named Senate Bill 24-205 in its SEC filing on the way out the door to Miami.
Cost of living: 49th. Cost of doing business: 38th. Startup formation: largest numeric drop in the country.
None of this is a mystery. It's a policy regime whose costs finally started exceeding the amenity dividend that was hiding them.
New at Heckuvajob — the diagnosis the listening tour won't make, and the eight-point fix that would actually work. If you own a business, leave a comment about how Democrat overreach in Colorado is hurting your company, your business, your family. Link in the replies:
Every single soccer player in tonight's World Cup shook President Trump's hand. They showed great respect to our president unlike some sports teams in the United States that go out of their way to show their disrespect.
In recognition of the 250-year anniversary of the founding of the United States of America as a free and independent nation, Elder Quentin L. Cook and I discussed the importance of religious liberty and its underlying significance for the restored Church of Jesus Christ.
We believe in religious liberty.
As the Eleventh Article of Faith reminds us, “We claim the privilege of worshiping Almighty God according to the dictates of our own conscience, and allow all men the same privilege, let them worship how, where, or what they may.”
For nearly 200 years, critics have claimed Joseph Smith “wrote” the Book of Mormon.
Okay.
Then prove it.
Not with assumptions. Not with ridicule. Not with recycled anti-LDS theories that collapse every few decades.
Actually prove HOW he did it.
Show the drafts. Show the outline. Show the research notes. Show the source manuscript. Show the co-authors. Show the revision process.
Because what we DO know is this:
A 23-year-old frontier farm boy dictated ~500 pages in roughly 60 working days with: • no formal education • no manuscript in front of him • no rewrites • no library surrounding him • no modern editing tools
And somehow produced: • complex narrative arcs • hundreds of interconnected names • intricate Hebraic literary structures like chiasmus • ancient Near Eastern themes • internally consistent geography, politics, theology, and chronology
Critics have proposed dozens of theories: • Spaulding theory • plagiarism theory • conspiracy theory • “he was a genius” theory
And when those fail, some even claim: “The devil did it.”
But that creates an even bigger problem.
The Book of Mormon testifies of Jesus Christ constantly. In fact, the name “Jesus Christ” appears more frequently in the Book of Mormon than in the Bible when adjusted for length. Its entire stated purpose is to bring people unto Christ, teach repentance, condemn sin, strengthen faith in the Savior, and testify that Jesus is the Son of God and Redeemer of the world.
So the argument becomes:
Satan inspired a book whose entire purpose is to convince people to follow Jesus Christ?
That completely contradicts scripture itself:
“Satan divideth against himself and against none else.” (3 Nephi 18:20)
The Book of Mormon leads millions to: • pray more • repent more • worship Christ more • read scripture more • strengthen families • abandon addictions • serve others • seek holiness
That is the exact opposite of the fruits Christ warned us about when describing false spirits.
Critics have spent nearly 200 years attacking Joseph Smith, yet they still cannot explain where the Book of Mormon actually came from.
At some point, dismissing Joseph Smith requires more faith than listening to him.
Because if he didn’t translate it…
Where exactly did the Book of Mormon come from?
One thing critics rarely acknowledge:
The Book of Mormon is not just “about Jesus Christ.”
It is saturated with Him.
Jesus Christ is referenced 3,925 times in the Book of Mormon — roughly once every 1.7 verses.
And that matters because some critics literally claim: “The devil inspired the Book of Mormon.”
Think about that for a second.
The same book that: • teaches faith in Jesus Christ • teaches repentance • condemns sin • calls people to baptism • strengthens families • teaches charity • testifies of Christ’s atonement • invites people to pray • repeatedly declares Jesus is the Son of God
…is supposedly satanic?
That argument collapses under its own weight.
Critics still cannot explain how Joseph Smith produced the Book of Mormon naturally: • no drafts • no outline • no manuscript • no formal education • dictated in roughly 60 working days • deeply Hebraic literary patterns • internally consistent narrative structure
So when natural explanations fail, some jump to: “Well maybe Satan did it.”
But Christ Himself taught: “A kingdom divided against itself cannot stand.”
Why would Satan inspire a book whose entire purpose is bringing people TO Jesus Christ?
At some point, critics have to do more than mock Joseph Smith.
They need to explain the Book of Mormon itself.
On January 6th I followed the crowd into the Capitol and shouted. Police stood by the whole time, hanging out with us and sometimes directing us places.
At one point near the House Chambers I was walking downstairs when a trio of some special section, secret service looking men started pointing guns in my direction.
Confused and annoyed, I walked the other way and when I saw a normal police officer asked him why they were doing that.
He informed me a protestor (Ashli Babbit) had been killed, and advised me to leave the building.
I walked towards the exit and after a short rest on the bench I left.
I harmed nobody and damaged no property that day and complied with all police orders.
What I received for that was a pre-dawn raid at my parents house, where my 1 month post-partum wife and I were staying, on Biden's first day in office. His DOJ had signed the order to arrest me 3 hours after his inauguration.
In the subsequent weeks I received death threats online and harassing phone calls, something that would be ongoing for the next few years.
I was banned from Meta and Paypal. My wife and I were both debanked by PNC and banned from Airbnb. My wife was detained at the airport for hours with our newborn daughter.
I was charged with 4 misdemeanors and the 1512 unconstitutional felony. The government offered to drop the misdemeanors if I pled to the felony. The felony was a lie, so I refused and went to trial.
At trial the prosecution for 2 days straight was allowed to show footage to the jury of things that occurred around the Capitol I wasn't present for "for context." When we asked to put forward footage that contradicted the prosecution's "context" we were not allowed. They could show what they wanted, we could not.
Police officers were then put on the stand for the next 2 days who cried about their experiences. I had no idea who they were. They admitted they never saw me or interacted with me.
Nevertheless like every other J6er, I lost, and was sentenced to 4 years and $22k in fines and restitution. Yet even after the Supreme Court overturned the felony, the judge would not let me out until my misdemeanor sentences of a year were maxed out. Because she can't count she actually kept me in longer - to the extent she intervened at the last minute to make the prison release me on a Sunday, something that is against BOP rules. My family sat outside the prison gates the Friday before practically the whole day waiting in vain because of this pettiness.
But the government wasn't satisfied with their pound of flesh: after my release they took me back in for resentencing, to attempt to have me resentenced after the fact to my misdemeanors consecutively, so I'd be taken from my family again and have another 1.5 years behind bars. This time I won, as they had no legal precedent and it skirted on violating double jeopardy since I had served my full prison time. Even still, it cast a cloud over the holidays and cost me another 20k my family couldn't afford.
People ask whether prison was bad, and yeah of course prison sucked. It was a hard and violent place. I was present for a stabbing, and was lucky to avoid two fights and a race war.
But dealing with Biden's DOJ and the DC Judiciary was the real trauma - they would grind down your spirit by weaponizing the legal system and use the endless procedure to bankrupt you. I had nightmares for months after release that I had somehow been hit with new charges.
By the time I was pardoned by President Trump, I had spent literally every single day of Biden's presidency either in prison or under some form of supervision. I had incurred over $300k in legal fees and over $1 million in lost business.
It was a reign of terror, and yet it was a mere foreshadowing of what they had planned for anyone else who opposed them under Kamala. The country should never forget it.
Edison research found that Dominion switched up to 435,000 votes from Trump to Biden.
They also found a total of 2.7 MILLION Trump votes deleted, including over ONE MILLION in Pennsylvania alone.
No one has been charged or prosecuted for this yet!
As I have been pondering the changes made within the church over the past decade, I thought of something that Neal A. Maxwell said about the Church being "scaffolding", that would one day be removed. As I was looking to find the exact quote, I was given more insight from a grok search..
"Several LDS leaders have addressed the idea that the scaffolding (representing the Church's programs, aids, organization, or administrative functions) is TEMPORARY and will eventually be removed or taken down once its purpose-- building strong individuals and eternal families-- IS FULFILLED."
Harold B. Lee originally said:
"Much of what we do organizationally in the Church is scaffolding, as we seek to BUILD the individual, and we must not mistake the scaffolding for the soul."
From L. Tom Perry
“There are two principal reasons why I appreciate President Lee’s metaphor for the Church—as scaffolding for our eternal families.
First, it helps me understand what the Church is. Second, and equally important, I understand what the Church is not.”
That’s an interesting perspective, isn’t it? Although the Church plays a pivotal role in proclaiming, announcing, and administering the necessary ordinances of salvation and exaltation— all of that, as important as it is, is really just the scaffolding being used in an infinite and eternal construction project to build, support, and strengthen the FAMILY.
And just as scaffolding is
eventually taken down and put away to REVEAL the final completed building, so too will the mortal, administrative functions of the Church eventually fade as the eternal family comes FULLY INTO VIEW.”
Elder Neal A. Maxwell taught:
“The true believer... sees that some Church aids are, in a sense, scaffolding for the soul, which scaffolding one day will be REMOVED— like water wings or training wheels.”
Again from my grok search—Teachings on "home-centered, Church-supported" gospel learning (from the 2019 Come, Follow Me adjustments and related addresses by President Russell M. Nelson and others) reflect the same principle:
The Church provides support that helps families increasingly STAND ON THEIR OWN, reducing reliance on centralized programs over time.
The metaphor underscores that while the Church remains essential for ordinances, covenants, and community, its organization "scaffolding" aspects are means to an end- NOT the end itself.
As individuals and families GROW STRONGER, some administrative elements naturally become less central."
Home CENTERED, church supported.
As I was walking around the temple grounds, I noticed one small piece of scaffolding remaining on the north side. Just one small piece remained.
I thought of how we rejoiced as each piece of scaffolding came down, revealing more and more of the beautiful temple we love. We appreciated the restored beauty even more, as we had to wait so long to have it revealed to us.
So it is with our own individual lives!
The scaffolding of the Church is being slowly removed, a little at a time, and will eventually reveal to us the beautiful work that God has CREATED in EACH of our lives. He knows what He is doing!
So as the changes come, as prophets continue to lead us, we can TRUST that God is creating something more beautiful for us than we can imagine.
Through His prophets, He is preparing EACH of us for GREAT THINGS ahead… and in His own time He will reveal it to us. And we might just be surprised at how beautiful it is!
We can TRUST HIM!
