@Raincoast@Marine_Valeria@LanceBarrettLen@timescolonist Ask anyone who has fished for Chinook on the west coast of Vancouver Island and the Salish Sea….there is no shortage of Chinook. It’s literally the best fishing in most people’s lifetime. They are almost at infestation levels. Same with Coho.
@ManyBeenRinsed Welcome to Calgary.
2011 to 2023. House worth basically the same. Add in repairs and maintenance, property tax, etc and it’s a very crappy investment. As it should be.
@Defenders More chinooks in the Salish sea than anytime in the last 25 years. Ask anyone who drops a line. Infestation levels. Can’t keep em off. They are everywhere. But keep spewing this stuff to the unwashed masses…keeps the donations flowing!!!
@danielfoch Here is the problem….govt running massive fiscal deficits. They issue bonds to the market to fund the deficits. The BoC ain’t buying anymore. The market is setting the price. Forget CPI.
@JohnnyEfthimio2@SteveSaretsky And yes, carbon tax has something to do with price increases. The carbon tax is paid by every supplier along the supply chain, and this cost gets passed along the end purchaser….you the consumer.
Just a FYI, companies don’t pay tax, the end consumer does.
@JohnnyEfthimio2@SteveSaretsky Without the economies of scale and purchasing power of the large groceries chains, grocery prices would be *gasp* higher! Go do a price check on a small local grocery store….you will head right back to Superstore.
@Raincoast There is no shortage of Chinook. Ask anyone who fishes on our coast. They are almost at infestation levels. Can’t keep them off the line.
But keep spewing this stuff to pull at the heart strings of the unwashed masses.
