2. The #Ebola outbreak totals are 733 confirmed & probable cases & 459 deaths. Today's @MinSanteRDC update contains a cool epi-curve showing cases by date of symptom onset & by location. Looks to me like a slight abating of cases — though that may be wishful thinking.
The 24th International Bioinformatics Workshop on Virus Evolution and Molecular Epidemiology (VEME) will take place in Hong Kong from Sunday August 4 to Friday August 9, 2019. More info: https://t.co/AVJufM9fOY
#Ebola thread: New info from @WHO on spread in Katwa, a major hot spot right now. Katwa (part of greater Butembo, pop: 1M) has recorded 148 cases so far. That's 21% of the outbreak total. And only 37% of cases there have come from contact lists. That's worrying.
Our @acegid_lab partners performed advanced sequencing to uncover a yellow fever outbreak in their home country Nigeria. This is how we will protect the world from pandemics #rootsnotparachutes#africanscience@WorldBank @H3Africa_CC https://t.co/cC7R705pQL
#Ebola rebounds BIG time: +12 cases reported today. That's huge. It's only the 4th time in this outbreak that there were more than 10 cases reported on a single day. There have been 36 cases reported this week (Monday onward). 1/

Our CEO Richard Hatchett speaking at the first ever #Lassa conference #LIC2019#OutsmartEpidemics
The #LIC2019 conference just kicked off in Abuja, organized by the @NCDCgov! @CEPIvaccines is taking the lead on Lassa vaccines trials, presented in their keynote. Currently in Phase I/II development, very promising and exciting.
