With six presentations from @waynestatephys, #BPS2023 concluded with an excellent poster presentation from Shahnaz. Stimulating conversation and new collaborations for everyone!
Sonali's development of a four-color fluorescence cross-correlation method that uses only one laser and one camera is not available on the BioRxiv! Good job, Sonali!

Great job with the New and Notable, Sonali!
It was our pleasure to highlight the excellent paper, "GM1 asymmetry in the membrane stabilizes pores" by the @DimovaLab

We're happy to provide a physics and imaging expertise to understand of the formation of cilia in sperm with Zhibing Zhang and Paul Stemmer over the next five years!

@MikeLangePhD Mostly it comes down to preparing the coverslip surface with surfactant and plasma cleaning. Nothing fancy. The Tag is applied first and then buffer is added. The droplet caps are stuck well enough for long term imaging and buffer exchange. More details to be published soon!
Want to learn more about the coupling of lipid phase separation, nanoscale membrane curvature, and single-lipid diffusion? We have the paper for you!

May I invite you to a fun thread about a delightful quirk of relativity theory? Starting with a simple fact about rotations, Iโll hope to give you some intuition about something thatโs considered wildly counterintuitive: velocity addition. Intrigued? Buckle up!
Membrane biophysicists wanted! Post-baccs, PhD students, and post-docs are all encouraged to apply.
We have a great, interdisciplinary team and long-term funding. Read more here: https://t.co/dPRsww4ApJ
