A few months ago, I was the one watching from the outside, thinking, "Everyone's winning, I'm still fighting." Now I'm the one with the win.
People see a five-figure win, and that's all they see - the win. But nobody sees what it actually costs.
For me, this win is:
- 2+ years in the space
- Multiple times, I almost gave up
- Countless moments where I had no idea how to keep going
- The thought "this isn't for me" on repeat
And honestly? I'm grateful for the almost. That word is everything.
A friend used to tell me: "You keep saying you're giving up. This is the third time I'm hearing it, but I don't care how many times you say it, I only care that I hear it, never see it."
And yet, I don't know exactly what kept me going. Probably stubbornness.
If you're somewhere in that spiral right now, thinking the same things I was thinking - keep going. Your win is waiting for you.
"the golden age of auditing is over"
yes bro, you can only get from 0 to $250k/yr within a year with no prior tech background and if you try hard you can get to >$1m/yr and all of this while working whenever you feel like it and while travelling the world.

I don't get this doomer mindset.
The entire financial system is onboarding to web3 which will make the security demand explode 1000-25000%.
There is an Ocean of 💰 to be gained.
Yes i++ doesn't get you a Lambo anymore. And you actually have to be good. So get good, get 💰!
Motivation is overrated. You’ll keep waiting for it and never actually move. You’ll tell yourself you need the perfect moment, the right setup, or the right feeling to start, and all that time, you’re just delaying what could’ve been done already. Stop overthinking it. Just start. The rest follows once you’re in motion.
I couldn’t imagine living without believing I’m as capable as anyone out there
That I have as much potential as anyone else
That I can reach any goal I truly set myself to
My formula to learning anything is to dive DEEP into a topic. What is it? Web3 dev/security, philosophy, fitness, psychology?
Go watch 10 podcasts, read 3 books and do 1-2 paid courses on just the BASICS. Then repeat for the advanced stuff. There's just 0 chance you don't learn.
My journey from the Central Bank to the world of web3 security or from a 9-5 job to a 24/7 adventure, from fully centralized to completely decentralized - you name it!
I spent more than 9 years working at the Central Bank, the last two years as the head of risk management division. I even managed to squeeze in a PhD during that time. It felt like the perfect fit - everything I learned in university found its place. But as the years went by, I started to notice something. I wasn't learning as much as I used to. My job became more about managing the known, and while it was great and I was doing well, I couldn't help but feel like if I stayed there for another 3 or 4 years, I might find myself on a path leading all the way to retirement age. I was 29 years old at that time and I was bursting with energy, eager to take on new challenges. Heck, I was even into professional kickboxing.
So, I made a life-changing decision. I decided to throw myself into a completely different career, starting from ground zero, but something that would reward my hard work.
I stumbled upon @hexens in my country, reached out for a meeting, and here's the kicker - I had absolutely zero knowledge about web3, blockchain, or coding. I thought that my sheer determination and a risk manager's mindset might just help me succeed.
After that first meeting with the @hexens team, I was so fired up by their talent and dedication that I began my learning journey. I juggled this with my Central Bank job, dedicating days and nights for eight months straight. I dove into all that roadmaps, articles, books you know what I mean.
And I did it! Now, I proudly say that I'm a part of one of the most kick-butt security companies in the crypto space, safeguarding over $55 billion in total net assets with a team of top-notch professionals.
So, believe in yourself, go for your goals, and embrace every challenge with enthusiasm. This is just the beginning, both for our team and for me personally as I aim to become a true badass in the world of security.
