Our church sent 4 women messengers to #sbc26. All 4 voted for @albertmohler ‘s Truth and Unity Amendment with the conviction that following God’s plan for His Church is what is best for women in our Church. Don’t listen to the noise. Real Baptist women in ministry are celebrating today.
My friend that I grew up with in my church and raised our families together died in a hospital room alone, with his kids on the other side of glass because of this wicked man. This cannot be allowed to go unpunished! Thank you @DNIGabbard
Today, on my final day as Director of National Intelligence, I’m releasing never-before-seen communications and documents exposing how Dr. Fauci provided millions in US taxpayer dollars to fund dangerous gain-of-function research at the Wuhan lab, worked with politicized elements within the Intelligence Community to suppress the truth about his actions and hide the virus’ lab-leak origins, and lied to Congress while under oath in 2024. It’s time you know the truth.

Post-#SBC26, I’ve noticed some fear fallout from the @albertmohler amendment concerning potential lost CP funding. Personally, I reject that fear. My church will give more if needed. I believe faithful churches will fill the gaps. I’d rather pay the price for fidelity than watch the “big tent” stretch until it tears at the center.
A newly married couple of 22 year olds joined the church as members this morning and we have several young people that we talked to about scheduling baptisms! I’m thankful for what was decided at SBC, but glad to get back to work in the local church!
Last week the SBC was in the news.
This morning they'll be in pews.
Tens of thousands local expressions of the Lord's church will gather across this nation.
May Jesus be exalted.
May the saints be edified.
May the lost be evangelized.
Let's stay on mission.
@EKleinChr That has been proven not to be true. Does abuse exist in the SBC? Yes, and even one is a horrible tragedy but the overwhelming majority of SBC churches care deeply about safeguarding children from abuse and holding the perpetrators accountable.
Man I left the convention ecstatic and very optimistic about the future! If this trend continues it will be very easy for me to lead our church into even greater giving and participation! And btw, our church is primarily growing with young families. It’s our biggest demographic. It’s wild some of the perspectives I’ve seen on SBC after the convention. I think it is not a reflection of how normal every day Southern Baptists feel, that are the main driving force of the convention.
In the past, I have attended the SBC national conference and commented on what I saw. Even in years when I did not attend, I made comments, given that the Southern Baptists discipled me and have been an important part of my life. There are dear people I care about who are in that denomination. This year I did not feel the energy or urge to make such comments. The denomination is on a downswing, and some of the action they are engaging in will facilitate that downswing. I do not say this with the glee I see some of the more progressieve Christian have had. It is a congregation that is having trouble attracting younger individuals, and it is taking steps that reinforce some of the dysfunctions that have emerged within that denomination. There are other vibrant expressions of conservative Christianity, especially within the nondenominational spaces that I see as deserving our attention today. I think they deserve our attention more than what is happening at the SBC.
The @IMB_SBC has a serious vaccine requirement problem, which means the churches of the SBC have a serious problem. I believe the policy is well-intended, but the details and execution are terrible!
The IMB has to be able to serve (at least the vast majority of) Southern Baptist churches as their main international sending agency. But a mission board that overrides parental decisions on if, when, and how a missionary vaccinates their own children (especially when it is not an issue of access to their field location and it goes against the advice of their family pediatrician), will be difficult to convince the next generation of sent ones to simply salute and vax their kids according to the "medical experts" to go overseas with the IMB.
I love the IMB and want to whole-heartily recommend it to all the "called ones" in our church to help them get on the mission field. But their (parental-rights-overriding) vaccine policy will be a(n unnecessary) barrier for many in our church to do that.
Please take the time to read the story detailed below. My own interactions with the IMB on multiple occasions only confirms the accuracy of this policy and its implementation. Let's work and pray for change so that we can send more workers into the harvest!
@AnthonyRayGray Except I don’t think any souls are damaged by following what God’s inerrant Word says. I think human ideologies and desires to please the culture are damaged.
@profyancey@ryanburge I’ll admit that it’s a more recent trend, but still a very strong one that is constantly gaining steam. I think it will be reflected in future reports. I’ve heard similar things from other young pastors.
Governor DeSantis understands that politicians work for the people and have to earn their support. Floridians deserve the chance to vet candidates, hear them debate the issues, and make up their own minds about who should lead our state.
URGENT PRAYER REQUEST: I am in Moneta (near Roanoke), Virginia, to preach the 20th church anniversary of Troy Keaton and the Eastlake Community Church. The service was in a tent on campus, with close to 1,000 attendees. Ten minutes into the service, a sudden, severe weather event pulled the support poles out of the ground and blew the tent off. One of the elders of the church went to be with Jesus, and several others were seriously injured. Please pray for Pastor Troy, Eastlake Church, and this community - that the hope of our risen Savior would be theirs in abundance during this crisis.
