Never close and extremely high in the trees , this and other previous photos are probably my best ever views of a perched Hobby..My usual views are flying at speed or at great height .. Very happy to observe it stationery.. @CWPBirds
One of 3 Hobbies seen hunting dragonflies yesterday. Heavily cropped but lovely to see all the same.. Watching their aerobatics was incredible!!. Lower Moor.@CWPBirds@BTO_Wilts@WiltsWildlife

Pleased to refind this male RNDuck gone missing for a month on Pit 129 CwpEast , easiest access is Totterdown lane, second from last pit loosely associated with the Pochard @CWPBirds#GlosBirds
Spectacular sunrise at CWP yesterday. Wader list pretty impressive too for an inland site included Spot Red, Greenshank, Redshank, Ruff, Wood, Green & Common Sands, Ringed Plover & LRP, Blackwit, Snipe & Lapwing. Hobby, Marsh Harrier & Garganey made for a great morning #cwpbirds
Superb waders at CwpEast P132 this pm inc 3 WoodSands , viewing can be challenging but stick to footpath that goes around two sides , best photographic opportunities down far end of footpath @CWPBirds#GlosBirds
Pleased with the Wood Sandpiper on Cwp East Pit 132 , I spooked it once with Green Sands without getting a proper look , refound on a different part of the pit ( from public footpath ) #GlosBirds@CWPBirds
