On Sunday morning, I suffered a sudden heart attack at the ripe age of 36. I was extremely fortunate to be in the hands of good friends, family and amazing doctors that very literally saved my life. It will be a few days before i’m back in action.

Severe thunderstorms are possible Saturday during the late afternoon and evening. The main threat will be damaging wind gusts, but large hail and localized flash flooding can not be ruled out.

This is unacceptable. Humans must be at the forefront of weather forecasting and meteorology.

A computer does not care about disaster preparation or accurate messaging put out. Especially as forecasts change or "bust." They can not be held accountable for mistakes.

I believe computers/AI are essential for pushing meteorology forward, but it must be with direct human oversight.

Finally we're hearing from local @NWS WFOs what has been quietly circulating over the last few weeks. A @NWS reorg underway now with absolutely NO invited input from the NWS partners. This is unacceptable.

@dspringzWX Such a weird event. Lots of hype and it definitely panned out. But the wind was decent, definitely not the worst blizzard I've seen. And then it was so warm so that majority of the snow was gone very fast.

The January storm felt more impactful just because how cold it stayed lol

Not only were we spectacularly wrong – we communicated poorly.
