Today we mark 100 years since the formation of the (Royal) Observer Corps.
It has been a real pleasure to meet and talk to just some of the many people who served in the Corps throughout its active life.
Today we thank all involved, and remember those who are no longer with us.

The Royal Observer Corps was asked to provide experts in aircraft recognition to go onboard ships to minimise "friendly fire" on D-Day/Operation Overlord. Hundreds volunteered.
