New development for engineering students in Nigeria 🇳🇬

Under the new COREN standard for SWEP/SIWES:

200L — 9 weeks
300L — 12 weeks
400L — 12 weeks

Then 1 year of mandatory training before NYSC.

So technically, engineering is no longer a 5-year journey before NYSC. It’s now looking like 6 years before NYSC eligibility

Why are you solving an 8×8 matrix by hand in the first place? No lecturer who knows what they are doing will ask you to do so. It is of little to no value to the learning process. You do not expect to find such problems in a good textbook.

In practice, computational linear algebra is the standard approach for problems of this scale. Through this, you learn how to solve such problems algorithmically in a computationally efficient manner.
