@AmDiabetesAssn Five expert diabetes doctors were ejected from the ADA convention in New Orleans for daring to hand out an editorial on the administration’s cuts to diabetes research. Not being allowed to protest cuts to life and death issues, is authoritarian. Shame on you, ADA
@ChrisCillizza You know what is happening here, Cilizza. Pelley had the bones you and the rest don’t have—to speak the truth and willingly stand up to losing his job. No surprise to anyone.
By firing Scott Pelley, editor-in-chief of CBS News Bari Weiss has single-handedly destroyed the most brilliant investigative newsmagazine in network history, 60 Minutes. Weiss exemplifies everything MAGA is about: ego, incompetence, and blithering idiocy.
@BoLoudon Why would he need the chump change salary of the office when he is utilizing every way feasible to make money his old fashioned way…from crypto operations to “deals” for hotels and golf courses in Middle Eastern countries. Listen to reporting on ANY other channel to learn.
@Acyn@donkoclock Another TACO Tuesday. Thankfully. Now that Trump has found the extraordinarily deep pockets of the US, can we please fully reinstate cancer research funding, healthcare, Medicare et al?
@piersmorgan@realDonaldTrump Why do people want to hide that he is an unstable megalomaniac who is breaking the world? He has broken everything in his history of business dealings, filed bankruptcy, then walked away. Why is Congress letting this happen?
@greta@TSA Trump refused to sign the bill to fund everything…Democrats had a deal set to fund TSA and all of Homeland Security except ICE until ICE can be figured out. Republicans like John Kennedy of La. Support the Democrats bill—Trump will not.
NEW: The U.S. national debt has increased by over $4 trillion since Trump began his second term.
Let that sink in.
This is the same administration that fired hundreds of thousands of federal employees — including tens of thousands of veterans — claiming it was about “cutting costs” and “government efficiency.”
They gutted agencies.
They dismantled programs.
They pushed experienced public servants out the door.
Many of those workers were veterans who continued serving their country in civilian roles.
And for what?
The debt still exploded by $2.3 trillion.
So veterans lost their jobs.
Public services were weakened.
Communities were destabilized.
And the deficit still skyrocketed.
This was never about fiscal responsibility.
It was about ideology, chaos, and rewarding billionaires while blaming the people who actually keep the government running.
The damage is real.
The consequences will last for years.
And the question that will eventually have to be answered is simple:
Who will be held accountable for it? 🇺🇸
North Carolina, we're officially on the road to November 3rd.
There’s no doubt — we’ve got our work cut out for us. But North Carolinians have always given me hope and that’s what’s going to get us across the finish line.
