In a 10-yr follow-up of a randomized trial, Retzius-sparing RARP (better early continence) showed worse long-term cancer control than the anterior approach — 2.64x higher progression risk after adjustment. Post-hoc, hypothesis-generating. free link:https://t.co/WhcUr6NCkK
Ok this clip about navigating the American Healthcare System from the recent South Park ozempic special (which was brilliant) needs to be the opening of every healthcare conference panel
Happy to share 15 y results of RARP in men w localized PCa diagnosed in the current PSA screen era. Few takeaways:
- longest FU, median >14 y
- detailed 5 onc/survival outcomes
- risk stratified w 608 and 312 IR and HR patients (lacking in ProtecT)

🎯After 21 yrs in Rotterdam PCa screening study: Invite 246, diagnose 14 to prevent 1 death. Invite 121, diagnose 7 to prevent 1 metastatic case. Overdiagnosis now strongly reduced (risk stratification, MRI etc). Let's bring this advantage to all men who may benefit! @uroweb
"Overflowing beer sign" and "angular interface". New allies helping to differentiate fpAML from RCC, with an excellent negative predictive value. Seems useful and easy to remember. Especially for beer lovers.😉
