Wondering how much snow came to our area? These are the latest snowfall totals from the NWS at about 9 a.m. The heaviest snow fell in NE Iowa, while Rochester accumulated about 1.8-2" around the city.
My best friend from college had great conditions in Colorado for the annular solar eclipse on Saturday. He saw a partial eclipse, took some photos through his telescope, and saw sunspots too! Shout out to Mike for sending these! ๐ #SolarEclipse2023

A record was broken on Saturday for the high temperature at the Rochester International Airport for September 30th. 24ยฐ above average for the day!
Today the same record for October 1st is likely to be broken today too! Record set in 1976 at 88ยฐ. ๐ฅ๐ก๏ธ

Storms rolling through SE Minnesota, northern Iowa this morning.
If you are North of I-90 you should see these storms come through your area into the mid to late morning hours as they track NE.
Main concerns: Heavier rain, lightning and potentially gusty winds.
Foggy conditions this morning for much of us across SE MN and northern IA. Temperatures and dew points in the upper 50s and low 60s. Fog should be subsiding later this AM, but cloudy conditions will remain today! ๐ซ๏ธ

Rochester International Airport had a high temperature of 94ยฐF today. This tied the record high for this date set back in 1937. This makes 2 consecutive days in which Rochester has tied their high temperature record.
Breezy conditions this afternoon for much of SE Minnesota and northern Iowa. Wind gusts currently peeking in Rochester around 25 mph. It will continue to be breezy through your labor day weekend with gusts peaking near 30 mph. ๐จ
A much needed cool down is ahead for this weekend from the VERY hot and humid temperatures earlier this week. Lots of sunshine to go around and more seasonable temperatures for August. โ๏ธ
