@bikelakecity@RideUTA Certainly doesn’t look great, but the bleakness seems to be exacerbated by the near term nature of many capital sources. Bonds, grants, state, TTIF, local revenues, etc just can’t be projected in a long term financial forecast, but come around in time. I’d like to see past years.
@wanderingdave I try to fill the garden early with root vegetables and leafy greens so I’m not tempted to put any summer veggies in the ground early. Come mid to late May I’ll have tons of real estate for them.
@FatherMoisher@EliMcCann I’ve watched Riebe and other state democrats sit completely silent in committee hearings after listening to 30+ minutes of public input against deeply unpopular bills.
I know there’s a lot of strategy behind when they decide to speak up, but people like that Nate isn’t quiet.
Every time Salt Lakers reject a chance to increase density, the practical effect is that we condemn another mountain to death by sprawl.
Keep the city city, keep nature nature.

@cwilliamsKSL Maybe everyone is lying, but it sounds very unlikely that anything economically viable would be possible at MU-3 heights based on the lease.
Either way, fingers crossed for full utilization of the MU-11 zoning nextdoor and light rail on 1300 at some point in the next 100 years.
@cwilliamsKSL The community council meetings about this request were nothing but a pity party for people who have no long term vision for the Sugar House neighborhood other than wishing it was the same as it was 30 years ago.
@cwilliamsKSL I’m speaking primarily about this corridor. I am thankful for the upzoning in other areas, but between the city’s redesign of 1300 E and the unwillingness to up zone this lot, it’s clear they prefer the status quo of fast food, parking lots, and highway speeds along 1300.
@soy_sauce97 In regard to ski buses, they spend too much time in the valley. Every ski bus should terminate at the future gravel pit development and 9400S P&R. Other transit options can get people to those points, but we could instantly improve headways with the existing fleet by doing this.
