@TechOperator@djmikeydubs@PineHeel@RosserJobs @PrzemyslawTracz I think we do. Pretty sure he said they were an MD researcher- a role that I’m almost certain doesn’t need to be some hustler negotiator.
@djmikeydubs@TechOperator@PineHeel@RosserJobs @PrzemyslawTracz Maybe the offer was acceptable? Most cases they ask your target and if they deliver that, you might look like an asshole if you counter.
@PineHeel@ExtendPatBev@RosserJobs How do you check the temp of a spouse in the recruiting process? Also, I think it’s a fair red flag- if your spouse pulls bullshit like this during the hiring process, who knows what they might try later.
@economist@Carnage4Life Maybe- but in this case it’s clearly not, as this guy is the co-founder of a wildly successful business. I’m not a fan of the approach, but it’s not like it’s going to break an org.
@lilchiva@RedTeamLeader00 @Vulcangod02 @AdamSinger@RosserJobs A link to the IRS rule or a blog or SOMETHING? If this was true, wouldn’t there be tons of articles?
I’m not questioning that you do this. I’m saying you’re committing fraud or your accountant is a moron and you’re just lucky you haven’t been audited.
@lilchiva@RedTeamLeader00 @Vulcangod02 @AdamSinger@RosserJobs That is not a thing. This is either tax fraud or just plain ignorance to the system.
And even if it was, most people are better off taking the standard deduction unless you’re an independent contractor.
@Vulcangod02 @AdamSinger@RosserJobs That’s not what I meant was the same. I’m saying your solution is effectively the same as the original post. You can’t expense daily commuting costs- it’s fully taxable. So $175 is the same as $125k with $50k “expenses”.
@Vulcangod02 @AdamSinger@RosserJobs That’s basically the same thing. That $50k is taxable. You can’t expense daily commuting costs… ya know… for obvious reasons.
