The fake email job/apartment rental economy has made it so nobody knows what anything costs or how long it takes to build.
People just nod and smile as water fountains are replaced in 3x the time it took to build the Empire State Building.
@xwanyex Tangential, but my thing with the anti-kid stuff is that there’s no way around the preeminence of a needy age group. It’s only a choice b/w young or old.
I’d much rather live in a world that’s oriented towards the future instead of one that’s receding with the past
Responding to a girl being cute like this, in the manner of a homosexual (umm yikes ick 😬) instead of pressing the gun to your head and screaming “DO IT DO IT YOU DONT HAVE THE BALLS” is a good way to fail her shit test
Guy friend of mine got the ick, for example, after taking a girl to the gun range and she "jokingly" pretended to shoot him (the gun was loaded and she aimed it at him). The irresponsibility was an immediate ick.
@BFNationalist@rkylesmith@feelsdesperate Without a license no less. It’s like people want the non-able-bodied, double shift puller to lose the one good eye they have left!
@nicetryfed@allie__voss I think it’s like newbies going to the gym. There’s equipment for every muscle but they have to do work to put together a coherent workout when they’re already reluctant. Lot’s just say “fuckit”.
People like marveling at the process but it takes more chutzpah to actually do it.
@allie__voss In a sense, they’re using takeout as an insurance policy against making bad purchases and preparing it poorly (or worse getting sick from it).
@allie__voss I think this whole discussion is really about younger people not knowing how to cook or shop and coping with takeout. The defensiveness is fear of the unknown (I have to shop, it’ll taste worse, etc…).
This also manifests in the over-reliance on meal kits and premade stuff.
The Reaganism is lip service to try to coalesce TDS-righties and lib yentas to rubberstamp a goal of top-down, global technocracy. Abundance is about selling the former on building and the latter on deregulating, while ultimately rugging both.
He’s not libertarian. I think he sees CA/IL as mis-calibrated, not fundamentally flawed by statist construction.
