I'm deeply saddened by the recent cowardly attacks by armed bandits at Sabon Gida village where some residents and School girls were kidnapped.

We immediately mobilized security agents who succeeded in rescuing some of the victims and are still in hot pursuit of the

In these trying times, we stand together in unity and solidarity, demanding the safe return of our innocent sisters, the students of the Federal University of Gusau, to their families. No student should ever have to fear for their safety while pursuing education. The authorities at all levels of government should take swift and decisive action to secure the release of the kidnapped students.

While our prayers and thoughts are with the victims, their families and the Nigerian troops, and we remain hopeful that the kidnapped students will soon be reunited with their loved ones.
