From 2026/2027, Premier League teams will be punished for wasting time when restarting play. 🚫

In the new rules , to take too long over a goal kick? It becomes a CORNER.

To take too long over a throw-in, The other team gets the THROW.

In the third rules, A substituted player must leave the pitch within 10 SECONDS. If not, his replacement has to wait 60 SECONDS before coming on, leaving his team with 10 PLAYERS until then.

Now it's now clear that time wasting will be stamped out completely from the games.
