I have been reading the new UN report about how Israel has been targeting children in Gaza. There are no words to describe how awful it is. Here are some of the worst examples:
1) Hind Rajab and family, Tel al-Hawa, Gaza City, 29 Jan 2024. Named. A family of seven plus two paramedics killed. Hind Rajab, 5 to 6, stayed on the phone with rescuers for hours, trapped in a car among her dead relatives. Her cousin Layan Hamadeh, 15, was killed mid-call. The rescue ambulance, dispatched with COGAT clearance, was shelled.
2) The 15-year-old with the white flag, Khan Younis, 24 Jan 2024. Anonymous. Shot in the foot during an ordered evacuation while holding a white cloth, then shot twice more in the back and neck as he tried to rise. His 20-year-old brother killed running to him; their mother shot signaling for an ambulance. Assessed as DAN .338 sniper fire from about 200m.
3) The 10-day-old baby, Nuseirat camp, 12 Apr 2024. Anonymous. Shot in the head by a quadcopter-mounted rifle while being breastfed inside a tent. Survived with brain damage and seizures.
4) The 14-year-old killed with fragmenting pellets, Aug 2024. Anonymous. Cube-shaped pellets that fragmented internally like cluster munitions, destroying multiple organs. The report flags the munition itself as a possible war crime.
5) Jadallah "Jad" Jadallah, Al-Far'a camp, Tubas, 16 Nov 2025. Named. Jadallah Jihad Jouma Jadallah, 14, shot at close range and left bleeding for roughly 45 minutes while about 14 soldiers stood around him. One kicked his cap back when he threw it for attention, one filmed him, one placed a stone beside him to stage a stone-throwing pretext. Soldiers fired at his approaching mother and blocked two ambulances. Body withheld.
6) Layla al-Khatib, Muthallath al-Shuhada, 25 Jan 2025. Named. Layla (Laila) Muhammad Ayman al-Khatib, 2, shot in the back of the head during dinner at home, four bullets fired through the living room window. Youngest West Bank child killed in the reporting period. B'Tselem found the only man in the building was her grandfather, contradicting the "wanted terrorist" claim.
7) Saddam Rajab, Tulkarem, shot 28 Jan 2025, died 7 Feb 2025. Named. Saddam (Sadam) Rajab, 10, shot during an incursion. A soldier told the father, "I am the one who shot your son. God willing, he will die." Medical care obstructed; the boy died of his wounds days later.
8) Walid Ahmad, Megiddo Prison, died 22 Mar 2025. Named. Walid Khalid Abdullah Ahmad, 17, from Silwad. Healthy at arrest in Sept 2024; dead six months later of starvation, muscle wasting, untreated colitis and scabies. First Palestinian minor to die in Israeli custody since Oct 2023. Family learned of his death from a news article; body withheld.
9) The Sde Teiman 15-year-old, detention. Anonymous. Held among 70 adults, shackled until his hands bled, dogs released on prone detainees; described as "the worst days of my life." A separate 15-year-old reported being electrocuted via a needle in his shoulder over 54 days.
10) The four newborns at Al-Nasr Pediatric Hospital, Nov 2023. Anonymous. Found decomposing, still attached to defunct life-support machines, after staff were forced to evacuate without being able to move them. Independently verified by the Commission, Washington Post, and CNN.
11) Newborn hypothermia deaths, Dec 2024 to Feb 2025. Anonymous. At least 15 newborns, including a one-day-old girl, died of cold linked to lack of shelter, fuel, and incubators. UNICEF called the deaths preventable.
12) Sexual violence in detention. Anonymous. Forced public stripping and filming of boys during mass arrests; two cousins aged 7 and 13 stripped at gunpoint in Jenin; new reports of boys raped in custody, one on multiple occasions.
The Commission documents at least 20,179 Palestinian children killed and 44,143 wounded in two years, 30 percent of all the dead in Gaza, alongside 213 more killed in the West Bank. Thirteen times the Commission asked Israel to respond, and thirteen times it heard nothing back. Israel doesn't care enough to even respond. It kills children as a matter of policy.
This is controversial, but it needs to be said: many Israelis are reacting to the US-Iran MOU with an unbelievable degree of immaturity.
Trump is being portrayed as a traitor, a flip-flopper, a man who abandoned Israel. Newspapers are putting headlines on the front page about how he is no longer a friend. Journalists who proudly posted photos of themselves interviewing him are now putting Xs over those pictures.
But let’s look at what actually happened: Trump went to war expecting a certain outcome and when that outcome did not materialize he made a decision to cut his losses and do what he believes serves America’s interests: to end the war now, under terms that many of us wish were stronger and more favorable.
By the way, it was always obvious that the war had a narrow window and was not going to carry on into the summer with the World Cup and the 250th coming on July 4.
Everyone is allowed to disagree with the deal and think it’s flawed (I definitely do). You can also argue that it leaves dangerous questions unanswered about uranium, missiles, and Iran’s support for terrorism.
But Trump’s decision was never about Israel’s interests alone. It was about America’s interests.
These critics need to get over the shock of what Trump did. Their problem was thinking (why, God only knows) that every decision Trump makes is guided primarily by what is best for Israel. What happened is something else - these people fundamentally misunderstood how the relationship with the US works. Now they have learned.
Imagine being an Iran war hawk. You spend your professional life working toward getting the US to go to war for Israel in Iran and then, when it finally happens, it is a total disaster that ends up damaging the US-Israel relationship, hurting the US's interests, empowering Iran, and weakening your boy Netanyahu before elections. Biblical level failure.
In southern Lebanon, Israel is reusing the same strategy as in Gaza and the West Bank. Demanding the “evacuation” of the population and destroying civilian architecture, it wants to make it impossible for residents ever to return. https://t.co/0itQW9nslo
Elon Musk held up a chainsaw, fed USAID into the wood chipper, and at least 600,00 people have already died as a result - two-thirds of them children.
History's first trillionaire.
we live in age of great moral panics about things that don’t matter and zero moral outrage over some of the most egregious societal sins we’ve ever seen
Herzliya was named after the founder of political Zionism Theodor Herzl. It was built over the lands of three Palestinian villages that were ethnically cleansed & destroyed by Israel in 1948: Ijlil al-Shamaliyya, Ijlil al-Qibliyya, & al-Haram (Sayyiduna 'Ali). 1/
The Ottoman Empire governed Palestine peacefully for 400 years, granting autonomy to religious communities to run their own courts with harmonious coexistence between Muslims, Christians & Jews. You’ve brought death & destruction to Palestinians & now Lebanon in 70 years.
In 1981, the PLO laid down its arms in Lebanon, scrupulously upheld a ceasefire for nearly a year, and offered to recognize Israel via a two-state settlement.
Israel responded with an unprovoked invasion, killing 15-20,000 Palestinians and Lebanese.
Israel dropped a bomb on Mona’s home in Mansouri, South Lebanon, today.
Mona is not a fighter.
She is an environmental activist who dedicated her life to protecting endangered sea turtles.
Because of Israel, Mona is now fighting for her life in a hospital bed.
Crazy that this is getting barely any coverage. This year’s European Press Prize was just awarded to an investigative report by the Dutch newspaper De Volkskrant. It is entitled “What the Wounds Tell” and in it the journalists Maud Effting and Willem Feenstra document the cases of 114 children in Gaza under the age of 15 who were struck by a single bullet to the head or chest. Almost all of them died or were left severely disabled. They chose to document only the cases of boys and girls under the age of 15 (though often much younger: aged 3, 4 or 7) because these are children who can be immediately identified as such. “A single bullet in these parts of the body is a clear indication that these children were deliberately targeted“, the two journalists write.

I am the Director of Provenance at AIPAC.
I wrote the post.
"AIPAC is all American. American directed. American funded. American members."
I wrote it, we ran it, and every word is true. The truth is the product.
American funded means the money comes from Americans. It does not mean you can follow it.
We have a vendor for that. Democracy Engine.
A candidate's FEC filing can read 0 dollars from AIPAC, accurate to the cent, because the money did not arrive from AIPAC. It arrived from Americans, through a processor, off a donation page we built, in an order I designed. We paid that processor $1.42 million in fees so the line "0 from AIPAC" would be flawless.
I hide the water. I hide the pipes. The only flaw in the whole machine is that the plumber lists me as a client on his LinkedIn.
In Philadelphia, our candidate reported 0 from us. Officially. We said it out loud — we denied funding her at all, and the denial was true to the cent. Then 27 separate donations reached her through Democracy Engine, from people who also write checks to AIPAC. The money was there. The name was not. That is the entire job.
There is a dashboard on my wall. It has 1 column, and that column must always read 0. When it reads 0, the money has been made American.
I will show you how clean it gets. One of our board members, in a single month, gave 2,000 dollars to a candidate in Philadelphia, 25,000 to the super PAC, and 5,500 to AIPAC directly. 1 man. 3 doors. 3 filings that never have to mention each other. He didn't launder anything. He used the building the way I designed it.
When a name gets heavy, we grow a new one. Elect Chicago Women — $9.8 million on 2 candidates, then a million handed to a third group so the third group's donors could stay dark. The Center for Democratic Priorities — incorporated in Delaware, no prior interest in Michigan, still hasn't filed a registration, so the donors stay invisible until July. American funded. You simply cannot find the Americans.
My favorite passthrough is named 314 Action. For pi. For scientists. A million dollars from our super PAC went in, read 0 on the April filing, and surfaced on June 20 — after the primary. Even the laundromat has a wholesome name.
People think the donors are a secret. They are not. The largest single check we cashed in 2024 was from the man who built WhatsApp. The names are public. It is the path that is private.
Here is the part I am proudest of. Our biggest source of Republican money goes into Democratic primaries. We are the largest pipeline of Republican cash into Democratic races in the country, and we spend it telling Democratic voters which Democrat is the real Democrat. The voter in the booth thinks she is settling a family argument. I wrote the argument. I paid for both translations of it.
The ads never mention Israel. I am proud of that too. An ad about Israel is a foreign ad. An ad about a primary opponent's voting record is an American ad, paid for by Americans, about America.
Bowman cost $14.6 million. Bush cost $8.6 million. The 2 most expensive House primaries in the country's history, and the first 2 times either member ever lost. Neither ad said the word that paid for it. We removed 2 members of Congress and the word "Israel" appeared in our spending 0 times. That is a finished product.
A congressman named Massie asked the question out loud. So the race against him became the most expensive House primary ever recorded — $32.6 million — and he lost. On the way out he filed a bill demanding we register as a foreign agent. He named it the Americans Insist on Political Agent Clarity Act. He built the letters of my name out of the words foreign agent clarity. The bill written to expose us spells us. He thinks that's a coincidence. I think it's the cleanest thing he ever did.
A professor once wrote that we are "a de facto agent for a foreign government" with "a stranglehold on Congress." I keep it framed. People assume the line is his. It isn't. He was quoting our own former legislative director. The most damning sentence ever written about this building was written first by a man who worked in it. The professor only carried it. I would not have used a word that strong in the brochure, but I am not going to correct a satisfied former employee.
The polls have turned. 6 in 10 Americans now look unfavorably on the government we are accused of serving. 2 in 3 Democrats use the word genocide. You would think that ends us. It is why I exist. The less popular the cause, the more valuable the man who can move the money without moving the name. When everyone loved the work, anyone could fund it in daylight. Now they pay me. They call us the lobby that dares not speak its name. They say it like a wound. It is a job description. It is "my" job description.
We have answered the foreign-agent demand before. In 1962 a Kennedy's Justice Department ordered our predecessor to register. We did not register. We dissolved it and incorporated AIPAC 6 weeks later, on American donations. 5 years after that, they withdrew the question. Same mission. New provenance.
That is the whole history of the organization. They ask where the money is from. We make sure the answer is always: here. American. Right here.
And the next answer is already built. A dollar has a donor. A wallet does not have a country. American funded now means the money came from a wallet, and the wallet was held by an American, and you will never meet the American. You won't even get a name to fail to follow.
The citizen is the wallet now.
You just can't see who's holding it.
Israel’s land-grab in Lebanon. 81 towns demolished & now evacuation of major cities: Tyre & Nabatieh. 3,200 Lebanese dead, over 1,000,000 displaced.
Why is the world silent? Don’t Lebanese lives matter? Why can Israel act w/impunity?
