#FiveStarReads ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ This new release by @daisyholder is 'genuinely a must read' (~NetGalley):

Assuming no more delays release should be at the end of this month, so there's still time to preorder! Never realised how much of the publishing industry balances on the sharp end of warehouses so if you'll excuse me I'm going to set up a little altar and pray for the warehouse
Thank you so much to everyone for sharing this and for your kind words! I was surprised to find when I opened twitter this morning to find that this whole website wasn't extremely quiet, just that it never told me about any notifications
A Disabled and Queer history book? In this economy?
After all these years of shouting history at everyone until they relent and agree to be interested.
You can preorder it now from wherever you buy books, including Amazon, Waterstones and loads of non-UK places.

But it's still a niche area that a lot of people think no-one will be interested in, so please pre-order it and buy it, and let me know if you can think of anyone who might be interested in reviewing it, or convincing other people to buy it, pass on the info!
@Lucy_Webster_ Absolutely! I'll figure out how to do that from the publishers! (Apologies for the delay, apparently twitter said I'd had too many notifications and decided not to tell me about any of them!)
Disabled fam, when was the first time you were accused of faking your disability?
Second, when did you connect the dots and realize able-bodied white girls like this were partly to blame?
@BlondeHistorian I somehow missed all of this but it's pretty typical of how many people still respond to me being coeliac. I'm deeply inconvenient, but not because of my dietary requirements, because I spill my drinks and don't know how to have an appropriate dinner table conversation
@ConnorScottG I was the same until I downloaded the free version of the planta app, tells me how often to water things and where I should put them 😂 now some of them look a bit droopy but they're alive as hell and super in the way
The UK Disability History Month theme is Disability, Children and Youth.
