REMINDER FOR THIS TRAVEL SEASON: 5th, 6th, 7th, & 8th graders DON’T need recruiting exposure or rankings! They need to develop, learn HOW to play, how to be a teammate, & ENJOY the game! ZERO players ever missed a scholarship because they didn’t get exposure at that age!
So proud of my girl @EmilyThorpe_2. Won best female performance for going 11-16 from 3 point range against Portland Christian. Keep shooting for the stars. I love you with all my heart
I have no idea what I was ranked out of high school. But I know I went to school for free! My rankings after graduating. O. Zero money and zero debt. Starting at zero was the best feeling ever.
For many HS student athletes their HS program is more than just a program. It’s a place where they learn life lessons like accountability, competing, discipline, hard work, leadership, sacrifice, and team work. That HS program help set the foundation for life.
If your son wants to play college ball but thinks his HS coaches are too hard on him, he probably doesn’t need to pursue a college career…it’s an entirely different level of urgency and intensity. Being coached hard isn’t for everyone and that’s ok. It’s ok to just be a fan.
