Went back to the old employer's office today, in part to catch up with people, and I met the new infra guy. Introduced myself, his eyes lit up, and he went "You're dal!! Your documentation has helped me so much".
๐ That's the nicest thing you could ever say.
@goshcharlotte@OldSchoolRS +1, dweeb very curious. I was playing last night, had read the update notes, but still mindblown when it let me back in after a minute or less.
@ajdlinux When I lived in Nelson, I met a guy on a motorbike up in the hills who was in a real hurry because he was doing some iron butt challenge. Something nuts like the circumference of the South Island in 48 hours. Was *not* happy about the roadworks. https://t.co/nRwDwtGFYK
@lion_tender@AlanMCole Fascinating. When I was living in a village in Vanuatu, I was amazed by the 3-5-year-olds running around with their own machetes, which they knew how to use (much better than me) - firewood, coconuts, slashing grass. Aka infants seem to show them up!
@Thinkwert One of my favourite memories of visiting FNQ was going to Bird World with my partner and walking around a bit, reading the printed guide, saying "Cassowary? In here? Seems hard to contain" and turning around to find it standing quietly about 2 metres away. Gets the pulse racing.
One-liner for "What the heck is happening with my zsh path?": `env -i zsh -lx -c 'exit' 2>&1 | vim -`. Maybe `man zshoptions` and read "STARTUP/SHUTDOWN FILES".
