I am honored and humbled to receive the 2022 HeIDi award from @helmholtz_diabc. This could not have been possible without all the wonderful trainees in my lab. In particular two projects being driven by two outstanding fellows @jananerahbani and @DamienLagarde. @McGillGCI

Dear colleagues, do you know who I could collaborate with to analyze brown adipose tissue activity with an infrared camera close to Montreal ? Please RT
So excited to share with you my second first author paper from my thesis at @STROMALab @RestoreInstitut ! 🥳 It’s about pain sensing neurons and tissue regeneration in adult mammals. @CecileDromard Thanks to everyone who worked on this project !!

Online now, our latest review about lactate fluxes and plasticity of adipose tissues with a redox perspective published in @FrontPhysiol ! Thanks to @AudreyCarriere1 and @STROMALab !

Our preview published in @Cell_Metabolism following the wonderful publication of Liwen Zhang and collaborators is out! Look at it! @kazaklab

The phosphocreatine hydrolase of the futile #creatine cycle in #brownfat#thermogenesis has been identified: https://t.co/Hk63BNUP8t
Happy to have contributed to this work in collaboration with the Spiegelman lab. @DanaFarber, @mcgillGCRC, @mcgillmed, @jananerahbani
Keen on energy metabolism? @kazaklab, at @McgillGCRC is looking for motivated grad students and postdocs to join our team. New projects on nutrient utilization, covalent regulation of thermogenesis, and transcriptional control over thermogenesis. Contact Lawrence if interested!
@DanielJDrucker Problem is @DanielJDrucker no one seems to read papers anymore. In our work in mice: https://t.co/3Q8oFCLoHp we never supplemented creatine to mice to stimulate energy expenditure. So, this human study is not a replication of the work in mice at all.
Our recently published review on lactate and its roles as a major energy substrate and signaling molecule ! #lactate Thanks @STROMALab@AudreyCarriere1 !
