Uganda has ended its Ebola outbreak.

After completing the 42-day countdown with no new confirmed cases, Uganda has reached an important milestone in the fight against Ebola.

This achievement reflects strong national leadership, the dedication of health workers, sustained surveillance, community engagement and close cross-border coordination.

As the Ebola response continues in neighbouring DRC, vigilance remains essential. Rapid detection, strong surveillance and cooperation across borders will remain critical to protecting communities and stopping transmission.

Africa CDC congratulates the Government and people of Uganda, frontline responders and partners who made this milestone possible.

Every chain of transmission broken brings us closer to ending this outbreak across the region.

L’Ouganda a mis fin à son épidémie d’Ebola.

Après avoir achevé la période de 42 jours sans nouveau cas confirmé, l’Ouganda franchit une étape importante dans la lutte contre Ebola.

Ce résultat témoigne d’un leadership national fort, de l’engagement des agents de santé, d’une surveillance soutenue, de la mobilisation des communautés et d’une étroite coordination transfrontalière.

Alors que la riposte se poursuit en RDC voisine, la vigilance reste essentielle. La détection rapide, une surveillance renforcée et la coopération entre les pays seront déterminantes pour protéger les populations et interrompre la transmission.

Africa CDC félicite le Gouvernement et le peuple ougandais, les équipes de première ligne et les partenaires qui ont contribué à cette avancée.

Chaque chaîne de transmission interrompue nous rapproche de la fin de cette épidémie dans la région.

Bruhh! I underrated the essence of that physiotherapy profession until I found my daughter.

A kid who due to spinal cord injury that made her unable to even crawl or sit up, suffered untold pain and was likely never going to walk again became whole after 7+ months her Pediatric physiotherapists magic touch.

Physiotherapists don’t just treat muscles and nerves, they restore dignity, hope, and futures.

Physiotherapists deserve a special place and mansion in heaven.

This picture was taken when she was going through different types scans and Xrays to determine what's wrong and how to begin physiotherapy.
